I'm going through your very interesting thread and really appreciate you for

introducing this subject again!!

 

In ur post u asked about how 5th House is denoting poorva punya ? So I'll like

to share whatever I've learned

 

9th house is consider for poorva janma and 5th is 9th to 9th hence it shows

Dharma and good deeds (all other significations of 9th bhava also) followed in

previous birth hence in this bith it'll become the punya u gained in previous

life!! (Many people consider 9th H as asc. for previous life and try to judge

it also some take 12th H as asc. for same , so there are many views and Gurus

can direct us)

 

Also I have heard we have to consider 5th H from Jup for purva punya and 5th

from Rah will denote purva papa.(

Gurus can direct us)

 

One more thing lagnesh and AK along with Sun can give the destination of our

journey (Varah mihira suggest upjivika on base of Sun, being karka for lagna

and 10th both. Also lagnesh determines our interests and lagna is known to all!

I know D60 part is already discussed.

 

These are just my 2 cents and request Gurus to explain it in deeper manner!

Dear Gurus and friends,From the various bits and pieces of knowledge

accumulated from thisgroup and other sources, I am attempting to understand how

to seethe central purpose of someone's life from their previous births intheir

chart. Well, to be more precise, I am trying to find my ownpurpose in life :-)

in various ways, with astrology being one ofthem.One angle seems to be D60,

which shows the previous birth, whichhave obviously shaped this one. There has

been some discussion andsome requests on analyzing D60. Dear brother Partha,

you and RamadasJi once had this discussion on this group, I remember, but I

can'tseem to find any archives. Could you, or another learned memberplease

teach us this?Another factor seems to be purva punya / paap from the 5th house.

(Iam a little surprised that this is the 5th house, and not the 9th or4th...

since one of the indications for 5th is children, and for 9this father and 4th

mother, wouldn't the 5th seem to indicate your*future* and not your *past*?).

My 5th is Scorpio, with Mars in it,which seems a little scary :-) with all that

fiery energy, howeversince I am of Cancer Lagna, this also creates a rajayoga,

so itseems like a blessing.Yet another factor is the mysterious retrograde

planets, thatapparently show deep rooted desires from previous lifetimes.

Fromwhat I've read, if a retrograde planet is somehow linked with Lagna,AL or

AK, this indicates the overriding factor that caused thepresent birth.Closely

tied with this whole subject, at least for me, is the issueof spiritual growth,

as shown in D20, since that somewhat indicatesthe future births. My thanks to
