Dear Mr. Raman,

Thanks for the reply and ur valuable information!!

But I'm willing to learn use of GL alongwith which exact dasa (Narayan dsas of

D1 or D10? OR sudasa in D1) to time the new Job ?

In the example given by Sanjayji, I could guess (need confirmation) that 5th H

significance is used to start the career ! (Like native is taking some classes

before becoming the Insurance Officer)

But when GL get activated we can say the new job wchich can give u reputation or

settlement for carrer will be given!

Even though the clue is given in the example I just want to confirm it and who

else than Gurus or Learned members can guide us!! Hence ask to list!

Anyway thanks for the information!

2. Planets occupying karakamsa play a very important role in deciding the

profession.

3. If there are no planets in the Karakamsa, then look at the 10th lord

from the karakamsa

Can u elaborate these points with illustrations!

Because I think planets in trine to navmasa lagna (I think u r ref the same for

Karkamsa)shows the ability or expertiseness of person and karkamsa is used to

see what is to be learned in this birth (Strong desire to learn/activities of

Atma)

Vinay Patwardhan

Dear Mr. Vinay and other fellow members,

Namasthe!

I would suggest you look into the 9th house (along with 10th house) in Rasi

chart for timing “career aspects” under Vimshottari Dasa system. I

have been following this and have been successful in timing. Hence, I recommend

it.

Following are the steps one can take, which will help you analyze the chart

accurately with respect to career related topics:

Planets associated with the 10th house will indicate the path he is likely to

choose. If the 10th house is vacant, then the lord of the Navamsa occupied by

the 10th lord gives a clue as to the nature of the profession, the native may

follow.

If the lord of the Navamsa occupied happens to be

i. Sun

– Medicine, Wool, Gold, Grains

ii. Moon

– Ships, Peals, Sea products, Women

iii. Mercury

– Mathematician, poet, astrologer, sculptor, textiles

iv. Venus

– Show business like Cinema, Drama etc., Cattle, Oil Industry

v. Mars

– buildings, occupation involving fire, chemist

vi. Jupiter

– Judge, teacher, banker

vii. Saturn

– Laborer, witch craft and tilling

Further, one can check whether the sign (the sign occupied by the10th lord in

Navamsa) is a Movable, Fixed or a Common sign.

i. Movable

– Indicates native with energy and dynamism and shows marketing related

jobs

ii. Fixed

– Indicates research based jobs

iii. Common

– Indicates a steady job where much dedication is required

Planets in the 9th house or viewing the 9th house will give broad clues about

the timing. Next would be to see the Dasa/Bhukti pattern of the native.

Shadbalas can be used an aid, if in confusion, when two or more planets are

under evaluation. Planets having secondary influences will be crucial while

judging change of job etc. If still in confusion, one can then take the

assistance of Dasamsa chart. Many scholars are of the opinion that taking

Dasamsa chart, while looking into career, is very helpful and have also proved

it with statistical tools. However, I feel that one should look into the Rasi

and Bhava chart first and then proceed on to the Dasamsa chart. Look out for

Yogas like Neechabanga Raja Yoga, Lakshmi Yoga, Raja Yoga, Vipareetha Raja

Yoga. Transfers or change in position can be predicted based on Dasa-Bhukti of

the planets causing the above yogas.

When using Ghati Lagna etc., the above (applicable) points may be used taking a

note of the following:

1. The Dasa system I would suggest is Chara Dasa (as it gave more accurate

results with regard to profession).

2. Planets occupying karakamsa play a very important role in deciding the

profession.

3. If there are no planets in the Karakamsa, then look at the 10th lord

from the karakamsa.

4. Planets with the 10th lord and those viewing the 10th house should also

be considered.

5. Position of Gulika is especially important in regard to profession

while following Jaimini system. If karamsa sign falls in the sign of Gulika,

lesser variants of the profession is indicated.

Further notes can be got by referring to Dr. Raman’s books.

RE:--Re: VL and GL to Visti

||Shri GaneshDattaGurubhyo Namah||

Respected Vistiji and Sunil,

Thanks for the information provided!!

My doubt is :- we have to use GL in D1 along with Narayan Dasa (As explained in

book COVA) or can we extend this to D10 also? along with D10 NarayanDasa ?

OR can we use GL with Sudasa in Rasi also?

And lastly what about 5th H effect for timing new job? Can indications from GL

override the 5th H prominance or wiseversa? OR Either one condition should

apply?

These are my few doubts if you can guide us all learners will get benefited!!

I'm just a beginer so pls consider!

Waiting for reply !

Regards,

Vinay Patwardhan
