Dear Learned Members,

I am trying to learn about checking the correctness of divisional chart lagnas,

especially D10. I shall appreciate inputs that can help me in that direction.

The points that I have compiled so far are as follows;

1. Verify business/ service from strength of 6/7 houses.

2. Verification of profession based on arthtrikona 2/6/10 houses.

3. Verification of Job changes during dasas of planets associated with dusthanas from A10.

4. New job opportunities during dasas of 5L. I presume this goes more with the

event of getting the offers, rather than event of actual change. Most people do

remember the date of joining, whereas many tend to forget the date of offer.

Is there a way to narrow down possibilities that crop up in point 3, say

specific to MD, AD or PD etc? Either or combinations can be plenty and it may

not be difficult to associate at least one of the dasa planets or dasa rashi

with one of the dusthanas from A10!

I also wish to know if locations changes can be checked in D10 too, especially

those linked to Jobs, if so method to check the same. 4,7,9,12 are the houses

relevant for location changes in D1. Which will be the key house for this in

D10. Location change may or may not be associated with Job change!

There are also a few tips that are available in case studies given in COVA like

Saturn in lagna makes one power hungry and Saturn's aspect on lagna or lagna

lord makes the native very hard working. I shall appreciate if more are added.

Kind regards

Ramesh

Besides parshan, divisional charts are scientific technique for rectification

but the choice of varga itself an important factor. First from rashi

chart(D-1), find the dominating impulse (i.e. dharma, artha, kama, moksha) and

dominating house. Then choose concern varga for rectification. Similarly age

factor and sex is important. Let say, for a young man of 23, the D-10 hardly

found significant, rather D-24 may prove very helpful as generally people have

been involved academic activities upto this age. So for ladies(of 30s), D-9 and

D-7 may prove more helpful in rectifying erronous time of birth. But for a

person who has a very powerful 10th house/lord in Rashi, and pay the greatest

part of his time and energy to his professional pursuits, prefer D-10 to all

other vargas. Usually D-9 and D-30 have often taken.

Now I come to your question, the Sudarshan Chakar dasa (SCD) in vargas can fix

an event upto an interval of a month or even upto 2-1/2 days depending upon the

expertise of the astrologers. There are various methods to treat progression of

SCD, including static and dynamic. The maha dasa runs at rate of one sign per

year, antar dasa of one month and pratyantar of 2-1/2 days. One way is to see,

the natal planets in concern varga during all dasas. Or one may take current

planetary position at the commencement of dasa which is akin to tajik annual,

monthly and 2-1/2 days pravesh charts.

Secondly taking transit into vargas. For example, the transit of Jupiter on the

5th house (or over GL) in D-10 may give promotion, in 2nd or over HL bonus. The

sade-sate in D-10 may prove fatal for the career, and give toil and agony

regarding professional matters. The transit of Rahu in 8th house of D-10 may

change or terminate once job/business. But the transits must be looked in the

mirror of dasa. For finding close interval of time the transit of the Sun in

D-10 is of utmost important, spcecially Sun's transit is progessive and

fruitful in upachya bhavas (3rd,6th,10th and 11th) while very troublesome in

4th, 8th and 12th houses.

Third significant tool of rectifying chart via vargas is consideration of

Ashtakavarga in divisional charts. I have seen lot of chart where in D-9 the

7th house posses considerable low SAV, the native's spouse is either from lower

status or native's does not care his/her spouse. Look in Bush Jr. dasamasa, the

D-10 lagna scorpio contributed 37 points and holds A5 that give him highest

offical seat. His AL(with only 20 SAV) in D-10 is afflicted by Ketu/Rahu and

Saturn is next to AL, has unobstructed papargala on AL, that damages his

professional name and fame during presidenceship.

Some more planetary consideration in D-10.

2nd house from Asc/Ju shows secure assest of company or wealth.

6th house from Asc/Sa shows employees, clerks and peons work under you.

6th house from Asc/Ma shows persons inemicals to you and rivals in office.

5th house from Asc/Me shows secretary and 5th from As/Sa persons whom you train.

9th house from Asc/Su shows boss, directors and executive.

Termination of career from Moksha tirkoon i.e. 8th, 12th and 4th house which are

opposite to Artha trikoon.

Regards

Imran

Dear Imran ji,

Many thanks for a very educative post.

Is the dominating impulse in D1 checked by the number of planets in each of the

4 trikonas? I presume judgment is to be used in case of count being equal! Can

you give some guidelines for determining the dominant house please? I presume

the dominant house may be visible clearly in some cases but in others there may

be an even spread out.

Thank you also for giving more inputs on D10. Sade sati in D10 is new to me. I

will keep an eye for further learning.

Kind regards

Ramesh
