Is it acceptable that these not have "the" or "a" before them? For instance:

Bhiksa-(1) act of begging or requesting, particularly a renunciant's

practice of begging door to door for alms; (2) alms collected by such

begging; (3) renunciant's acceptance of a meal in a householder's home.

The alternative:

Bhiksa-(1) the act of begging or requesting, particularly a renunciant's

practice of begging door to door for alms; (2) the alms collected by such

begging; (3) a renunciant's acceptance of a meal in a householder's home.
