Guest guest
He became proficient in the six Vedangas (branches of auxiliary Vedic knowledge), namely, siksa (pronunciation), kalpa (ascertainment of the proper time for performing sacrificial activities), vyakarana (grammar), nirukta (word meanings), chanda (meter), and jyotisa (astrology and astronomy). According to CMS there should be a comma after "namely" in sentences like that above. I wonder if BBT editors know about but anyway veto this, or if perhaps they don't know.
