"Greetings, Thank you so much for this web site. I am especially

excited about the information on Lakshmi. I am very drawn to her

and want to go deeper into my studies. At this point in my studies I

consider myself a Shakti. I would like to know more about her aspect

as Mahadevi and Kamala. What sound resources would be best, such as

books and texts? I have a devotional practice to Lakshmi at the

present but I feel that there is more, and I need to go deeper and

further within my scope of knowledge.

This web site inspired me. I have not yet had a change to read all

the information but I will. I am an older student at Evergreen

State college, (47) I have the wonderful opportunity to be studying

Hinduism through an Independent learning contract.

My contract is through September. I have been on a Goddess/Wiccan

path for over twenty years. ( I teach various aspects of ritual)

Since 2001 I have been drawn to Hinduism and to Lakshmi and Ganesha.

I have struggled to keep these practices separate but feel more and

more pulled to educate myself in Hinduism and the practices and

deities. Because of my background I am most comfortable in the

Shakti vein.

Ammachi is my guru and has been since 2000. I feel called to study

and educate myself. Can you help me with ideas for learning more

about Lakshmi? I also am piecing together a practice. I do a daily

mantra to her. I have a large altar constructed. I have read quite a

few books but am still struggling with finding a way to worship her

that fits into my life. I am finding it very challenging as a house

holder.

I am a mother, a grandmother, a student, a wife, an artist, a

counselor and a writer. (Just a few of my roles). I realize everyone

is busy. Anything you can toss my way, ways to worship her, ways to

connect, altar construction, or insight, books, teachers-anything

would help. Any specific mantras? I have the basic ones.

I appreciate everyone's time that went into this web site. Also what

is the next step for someone like me? I am very spiritual. Been a

seeker my whole life. I have a BA in Biblical studies. I am well

versed in Buddhism, been a practicing Priestess for many years. Yet,

through all of this I never felt like I was at home.

This practices makes me feel like I have climbed into the lap of the

Goddess and that I am at home. Blessings on your path.

Thank you, Mahita Devi

I am really glad that you got inspired towards Laxmi.

Sarasvati(Hrim), Laxmi(Shrim) and Durga(Clim) are parts of Gayatri only.

If you look at Gayatri chalisa, it starts like, Hrim shrim clim medha

prabha jivan jyoti prachand....

I am a Gayatri upasak and glad to meet you.

Hope it is helpful.

Parnam Devi,

Who am I to suggest you any thing, as you are the Mother yourself.

How ever may I suggest "Lakshmi Tantra" and "Devi Rahasay Tantra". I have

not ready Lakshmi Tantra, but I am assuming it will have all the details on

Mother Kamala. Devi Rahasya has details on a lot of swarop of devis.

Thanks and Regards

Emaho! I always like to see Mahalakshmi. Kamala Devi, Lotus Goddess, who led me to the Lotus Born Guru Padmasambhava. How Wonderful You are Devi - Palden Lhamo - who expands experience as well as what one would want to experience.
