Sreemad Raghavendra Theertha Swamiji Predicted Earth Quake

In a Ashirvad Pravachana, Sreemad Raghavendra Theertha Swamiji said

that as Adharma increases, pointing to the arrest of Kanchi Acharya,

Earth quakes and cyclones shall devastate the land the people. The

ocassion was the Bhagavatha Sapthaha being held and it was the day the

story of sri Krishna's Birth. It is written in Bhagavatha, after the

birth of Sri Krishna he thrashed the ground with his hands and legs.

The earth shook and the water in river yamuna rose very high. Is it a

coincidence that the prdiction became a truth in less than 24 hrs.? I

I hope people like you refrain from making some unrelated generic

statements as "predictions" and hurt the sentiments of people that are

shocked and pained by loss of thousands of lives.

 

The arrest of Matathipathi Jeyandrar may or may not be dharmic - I dont

want to go into that discussion as I dont know him or the incidents that

led to him. However commenting that this disaster that has occurred (that

too in many countries) was a result of some arrest is insulting all the

helpless people that died and is inhuman. Please refrain from such comments

for your own personal sake. Atleast ask your common sense before posting

such non-sense that insults the Divine. Once we lose basic human values and

common sense, no Swami can save our spiritual growth.

Schinnas,

 

Why do u say they are not connected?. The whole

universe is one and related to each other. Every

action has a equal reaction if not opposite.

 

with our own small body, if there is any small

antibodies get produced they trashed by our own Immune

system. Can u tell any square inch of eart where there

is no destruction/violence ?. Creation, destruction

and preservation is part of this universe.

 

In 9/11/2001 , twin towers were destroyed in NY city,

exactly one month earlier in august ,2001, 2 tall

Bamiyan Buddhas were destroyed in Afghanistan. Do u

think those 2 incidents are not related?

 

Similarly in Bible it is said that with in Month of

crucification of Jesus, the entire temple of solomon

was destroyed in an eartquake.

 

There are 1000 and 1000 incidents where, when

religious institutions/heads were harmed and good

people punished, the God/nature punished the poeple.

This is going to be my last mail in this thread. We still need to wait and

see if the Kanchi matathipathi is a good or bad person as police alleges.

 

Another thing is that such ignorant and inhuman comments betray a lack of

compassion whether it comes from Swamis or sishyas or other ordinary

ignorant people. It is one thing to *know* things intuitively through well

developed psychic abilities through long and sincere sadhana. On the other

hand, it is entirely an inhuman thing to ascribe personal biases and

motives to a great human tragedy. It is as if someone wants people to die

on a large scale. What a cruel way of thinking...

 

I woulder how many of these guys that say these really do anything to help

people in the disaster - any sincere, humble non-egoistic service to the

suffering will go a long way in helping people develop spiritually. There

is a lot more I want to say, but would rather spend my time productively.

Moreover, this is not an appropriate discussion forum for this topic.

 

I leave it to you to ponder how people can progress spiritually without

compassion for fellow human beings. Finally, rather than insult the Supreme

with such ignorance and allegation, lets all try atleast a little bit to

know the Supreme and help our fellow sons / doughters of God in any little

way we can.

Dear Siva,

While, I agree that basic human values and common sense should prevail,

why is it all right to give it a go by in case of the pontiff? Your
