Guest guest
||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Dear Prital, Saravana and List members, Namaskaar. Allow me to share some of my understanding on the below… To see where the person has come compared to the past, Prashna (horary) is one technique used. Dr. B.V. Raman has authored 2 books on the subject. For those who have expired, a Punya Chakra (chart of time of demise) can be used. For other trends in spirituality, Drig Dasha can be used. Here is a link on understanding a bit more on the Chara AtmaKaraka: http://www..org/learn/ck.htm There has been some discussion on the above, in the archives. Hope some of this helps. Best wishes, Nitin. || Namah Shivaaya || Seems like there are lot of people who have similar douibts what I have, As self realization is the main motive of a humanbeing, can anyone tell me from the astrology point of view ... HOW CAN WE JUDGE SPIRITUAL GROWTH FROM THE HOROSCOPE OF A PERSON? .... How can the present life be compared with the previous one and the next. I've been studying the horoscope of saints like Paramhans Ramakrishna, Vivekananda and many others .... but Is there any definite scientific definition to describe it in astrological terms. IS THERE ANY BOOK TO READ ON SPIRITUALITY IN ASTROLOGY. Thanks and Regards Saravana Kumar K
Guest guest
Dear Saravana Kumar K No astrological tool can tell you how far you come spiritually. Astrology can only tell your past, present and future, and also whether you are currently pursuing a spiritual path or gross path. Even if you are spiritual in this life, you might again go back to materialism next life., After all we are all products of our choices(thoughts) But no technique can tell whether you have "evolved" or where you are currently. People tend to assume that spirituality is a goal to be reached, a laddu to be eaten. and the laddu is at some x kilometers and at present we are at Y kilometers It is not that way. Self realisation is not a goal or an end. best wishes partha On Mon, 03 Jan 2005 20:40:31 -0000, Nitin <astronitin wrote: > > > ||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| > > Dear Prital, Saravana and List members, Namaskaar. > > Allow me to share some of my understanding on the below… > > To see where the person has come compared to the past, Prashna > (horary) is one technique used. Guest guest
Thanks partha for your comments and Hi to all in the group, You are right in saying that Astrology defines the past, present and future of an entity. So, It should be able to say if you are living in reality or in ignorance, for this is the state of the being, It should be able to say what gunas are the entity endowed with (sattva, rajas or tamas). for everything in the universe is defined by these 3 gunas. The state of the mind, the desires what we have, the activities we pursue all are modifications of the gunas, which should be defined by Astrology. Im looking for fundalmental definitions in the Astrological point of view. I know this is complex, but I feel it should exist for Astrology is truth itself. Guest guest
Dear Visti Yes, we had used that to know different types of Darshan. I remember an article , i think it was by Freedom which talked about Aurobindo's darshan of Sri Krishna. But is it really concrete? Can we use such techniques to know the spiritual Index of a person. Whether for guarantee a person can visit God. All i want to know is "how many lives have i taken till now?" WHat was I 10 lives back. What is my Kala, is it 1, or is it 10. What is the Kala of well known spiritualists like Sri Ramakrishna or Sri Lahiri Mahasaya. We cannot predict whether a person will ultimately get Moksha or not, or are you aware of such a technique? We can only talk of spiritual path or material path. Even George W Bush jr has Ketu in 12th from Karakamsa. ANd his Karakamsa is Meena. That should technically make him very spiritual right? Atleast by the basics given by Jaimini? Can we know what were the lokas that a person took birth in? using Jyotish?? If yes, when and how? I am referring to Autobiography of a Yogi, where it is clearly mentioned that people shuttle between astral Planes and Gross planes like earth, till the earth Karma is relinquished. So it is not such a linear path. Hope i did not pose too many questions. best wishes partha On Tue, 4 Jan 2005 21:15:08 +0100, Visti Larsen <visti wrote: > > > > ||Hare Rama Krsna|| > > Dear Partha, Namaskar > > If we can see that the person will achi[Visti] eve Bhagavan-Darshan from the > Rasi, see whether they will get moksha or not from the Punya chart, or see > whether their Atma is moving on mukti-marga from the adhana chart, or if > Garga cast the chart of Sri Krishna, reading the omens and signs on his body > and realized that he is a Vishnu Avatara with Shodasa Kala, then what is it > exactly that we cannot see from Jyotish? > > > Maybe you are right and we are only able to see the highlights or? > > Best wishes, > > > > > Visti Larsen > > http://srigaruda.com > > visti > > > > > ________________________________ > > > Partha Sarathy [partvinu] > 04 January 2005 05:57 > vedic astrology > Re: [vedic astrology] #3 Need to understand my spiritual trajectory > > > > > Dear Saravana Kumar K > > No astrological tool can tell you how far you come spiritually. > Astrology can only tell your past, present and future, and also > whether you are currently pursuing a spiritual path or gross path. > Even if you are spiritual in this life, you might again go back to > materialism next life., After all we are all products of our > choices(thoughts) > But no technique can tell whether you have "evolved" or where you are > currently. Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Partha, Namaskar Parasara teaches that from the Drekkana of the stronger between Sun and Moon, we can know the previous loka prior to birth from the rasi chart. When we inquire from the puranas, we learn that everyone goes to Yama Loka and there Yama decides our length of stay/punishment in the talas and naraka, and then the atma goes to higher abodes (if deserving), after which it is reborn in bhu loka - only here death can occur. So the last loka prior to birth can be seen in the rasi chart - Guruji taught this in his Saptaloka lecture in the US 2003. As for the exact stay in each previous loka - this I haven't learnt anywhere. Parasara talks about moksha from the karakamsa of the natal chart, however he also talks about this from the death chart - also refer to Jataka Parijata. Sanjayji also taught this in the US 2003, where he showed some charts of people who had Yogas for moksha in their death chart, and those who would go to some talas or narakas for punishment, and how long it would take as well as the reason for such stay in those lokas, and the reason for rebirth. So the future abodes and moksha can be determined from the death chart with certainty - but not from the natal chart. I can't tell you how many kalas you have - but I guess Garga could, so who am I in comparisen? I'm just making a point. The two above points should satisfy your questions regarding the previous and next abodes. Guest guest
Dear Saravana, If I may interject, astrology no doubt can indicate all that. I agree. The problem is what is one's perception of one's own spirituality may not match with what is recognized as spirituality by Vedic sciences and sages. If this (perception of one's spirituality) is in line with the modern 3 Hr. Kundalini jagrati classes, then Astrology would not give an answer which would be found palatable by the querist. Guest guest
Thank you Chandrasekhar, My doubt is whatever approach a person may have towards life (spiritual or non spiritual) , the Absolute truth is one. All of them converge in the mighty Almighty. We have seen great personalities like Vivekananda, who have perceived the truth, and are well above the way we live our life. How can this realization be inquired from Astrology. Guest guest
Dear Saravana, Look at the Moon, Saturn and Dharma Sthana. Strength of Lagna and role of Jupiter would indicate the potential of the horoscope. The person can achieve the end results if he expends his efforts in that direction. It is all right to think that just because yoga is there one will achieve spirituality, but this would only be possible if the mind ( Moon ) is under control and takes one in right direction and the person puts in conscious to make it possible. If you read Bhagvad Gita this would become clear. Chandrashekhar. Self realisation is not a goal or an end. best wishes partha On Mon, 03 Jan 2005 20:40:31 -0000, Nitin <astronitin > wrote: ||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Dear Prital, Saravana and List members, Namaskaar.
