Dear Prital and List members, Namaskaar.

Some more thoughts below…

Thank you, Nitinji. I was just asking cuz I did not know that rahu

and ketu co-ruled those rasis (i'm still learning).

[Via Nk]

So am I. Glad to engage in the discussion.

So, then would rahu for Aqua lagnas and Ketu for Scorpio lagnas be

considered benefic (since they are lagna lords)?

[Via NK]

I generally do not consider the Lagnesh (Lagna Lord) as a classified

"malefic."

On the other hand, I try to refrain form words such as "benefic" and

"malefic" as they do not completely describe and capture the essence

of something.

:>

Try to understand Rahu.

Try to understand Ketu.

Take a wholistic approach, as you are doing.

When on the Earth, the blazing Sun will continue to shine irrespective

of whether the people on earth have slippers / shoes to wear on a hot

sunny day.

The coming of winter will freeze the lakes and water bodies where it

does, irrespective of man's readiness.

…all the grahas (planets) have a role to play. Sometimes the lessons

imparted are not as nurturing as the others.

The sages used "saumya" implying soft and "Krura" implying harsh.

I hope I've managed to give a bit more (though, perhaps subjective

definition,) to the description of "benefic" and "malefic."

And what about their aspects on other planets?

Consider Rashi Drishti for Ketu only.

Best wishes,

Nitin.
