Dear Shripal and List Members, Namaskaar.

Allow me to share some of my understanding.

First something from the Maharishis:

====================

BPHS (English Translation)

Ch. 3. Grah Characters and Description

49-50. Exaltation and Debilitation. For the seven Grahas, from Sūrya

on, the exaltation Rashis are, respectively, Mesh, Vrishabh, Makar,

Kanya, Kark, Meen and Tula. The deepest exaltation degrees are,

respectively, 10, 3, 28, 15, 5, 27 and 20 in those Rashis. And in the

seventh Rashi from the said exaltation Rashi each Grah has its own

debilitation. The same degrees of deep exaltation apply to deep fall.

====================

Whilst the Houses have been mentioned, so have the degrees, revealing

a state in the Nakshatras.

The Maharishis have further ascribed different types of "strengths"

This is gauged under Chapter 27 – "Evaluation Of Strengths"

…some of which are…

Shad Bal

Kendradi Bal

Hora Bal

..

..

..

If considering classified exaltation states independently, then we

must try to understand why the Maharishsi attributed the said houses

to the appropriate planets (grahas.) For example, the Moon is

reflective of the qualities of a Mother such as the nurturing,

nourishing, etc. In the 2nd House of Taurus, it has entered the sign

of Sustenence. Exalted in doing best, what it enjoys doing so in

Krittika..

Take a broader perspective. Without placement, we cannot gauge into

aspects.

..

..

..

If you determine that a planet is capable of causing stress, or harm

in its workings in some manner, would you rather it be enjoying what

it does, or rather in a weaker position to carry out such…?

I have already shared my views on Rashi / Graha Drishti and there has

been much discussion on the same in the archives as well.

Hope that some of this helps. May the Gurus continue to guide us and

correct me where needed.

Best wishes,

Nitin.

Hi Ramakrishna,

When any planet is debiliated that means doesn't means

it is weak,it is weak by just sign,if it is strong,it

will give more of a negative result,as being

debiliated. So even if it is aspecting 100% exalted

sign, you will see a negative effect of that House,to

which it is seeing.

So planets being Negative is different thing and

Planet being weak is different.Weak planet doesn't

give result

good nor bad. They are almost immaterial for that

individual in that chart.

As per my knowledge debiliation and exaltion is a

quality of a planet that they have.
