Exactly as predicted yesterday, Indonesia was hit by a powerful

Earthquake and also Turkey was hit.

All quakes so far have been predicted and they have occured on

5.5 Richter quake off southern Turkey

PARIS, France -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit

the Mediterranean off the southern Turkish port of Kas late Sunday,

France's earth sciences observatory in Strasbourg reported.

The epicenter of the quake, which hit at 2236 GMT, was recorded at 36

degrees latitude and 29.90 degrees longitude. The small Greek island

of Megisti is situated opposite Kas.

6.2 Magnitude earthquake jolts Indonesia

 

 

 

Jakarta, Indonesia, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A strong earthquake jolted the

Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi early Monday, triggering

panic and damaging a number of homes and buildings.

 

There were no immediate casualties reported.

 

The tremblor, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked Central

Sulawesi capital of Palu and nearby regions at about 4:10 a.m. local

lime (2010 GMT on Sunday), an official at Jakarta's meteorology and

geophysics office said.

 

The official said the quake's epicentre was on the land, about 16-

kilometres southeast of Palu, 1,575 kilometres northeast of Jakarta.

It occurred at about 30-kilometres deep.

 

There were no immediate reports of casualties, but officials said a

number of shop-houses buildings were damaged by the earthquake. It

prompted residents, who were still asleep, to run out their homes in
