Guest guest
Dear friends I learnt a Jyotish lesson from a barber. Recently i went to a barber who asked me surprisingly "who the hell cut your hair, he is a bad barber". I was taken aback and i kept quite. I did not go to this barber again, and went to my old barber who has been cutting my hair since two years. I told him that another barber had criticised him. He did not get angry, instead replied in a calm manner "Sir, a person gets attracted to you by what you do. You and many have come only because you felt satisfied and not because of anything else. It is wrong on another person to comment a fellow barber's work. Work speaks for itself, a true worker will never criticise another fellow worker, but only make observations in a calm way and tell how the work can be modified and improved." Increasingly i see many people criticise fellow astrologers and their works. The above story illustrates the point clearly and people who keep on criticising fellow astrologers should take a cue from a simple barber. best wishes partha
Guest guest
Hello Partha, good story and moral. Just one question. Why did you go to the other barber (I mean the first one who criticised your hair cut)? Guest guest
Nice Story. I too hope a day to come wherein Astrologers will also work like a team. I am working in a medical field. All doctors, conduct their local, regional, national level workshops, conferences on quarterly / yearly basis. Where they present their medical cases they had handled last year. Leading docs present extra ordinary cases of medical history and also they share how they handled them. bottom line is, all of them share their experiences to keep the pace with changing time and medical diagnosis / diseases. Classical texts did not mention any where that the X person will be a software enggn or a docotor of a specific field like endourology etc. most of the shastras are linked to purush shastra only. and in modern context, we need to fine tune or may be create new rules for istree jatakam. Untill, we meet each other, conduct workshops, we will not be able to keep the pace with changing time. Its matter of understanding that we will be benefited out of it. regards rakesh Partha Sarathy <partvinu > wrote:I learnt a Jyotish lesson from a barber.
