Dear Members,

In view of Sanjay Ji's instructions that in Saptamsha, the 9th House

is the controlling Bhava for progeny in female horoscopy and thus

the 10th Bhava becomes the primary Maraka, how is the counting for

individual pregnancies to be done if an even sign rises in Saptamsha

Chakra?

Does the counting begin from the 5th from Lagna in such a case?

Thank you.

Anurag Sharma.

Om Krishna Guru

Namaste Sharma Ji,

Let me attempt to give my understanding and corrected by Gurus if I

am wrong.

I take the Saptamsa Lagna and follow these princples to see the firt

child:-

1) If the Lagna is Even, then take 5th reverse from the D-7 Lagna.

2) If the Lagna is Odd, then take 5th forward from the D-7 Lagna.

Hope this may be helpful to you.

Dear Rao Sahab and Others:

I have this doubt regarding saptamasha.

I do follow what you have suggested but i have also read that for

female charts we go reverse and for male chart we go forward. We also

have rule based on even or odd signs of D7 lagna. Hence i have

question which rule should be given preference. For example if its an

odd sign and female chart do we still go forward or we go reverse

cause its female chart. Plz enlighten.

Dear Mr. Nemani,

Thank you for your response. Actually, this is standard practice. My

query was how would it be applied in a female nativity in view of

the fact that the 9th House is the controlling Bhava in Saptamsha

for progeny.

Regards.

Hare Rama Krishna

Dear Anurag,

Maraka determination is always by forward count. For female 10th

house is the maraka.. infact it is the lord and the planets in the

10th house.

Rest is as usual.

Dear Viswanadham,

Thank you. The query is not about the Maraka status of the 10th and

Grahas therein. That much is clear, just as the 6th is the Maraka

for male Saptamshas.

The query is that if an even Lagna rises in a female Saptamsha, then

which is the first house for the individual pregnancies. Generally,

Sanjay Ji says that the 9th House is the controlling Bhava for

female Saptamsha. In case of even Lagna, would it become the 5th

from the Lagna? Or is it that even though the 9th is the controlling

Bhava for individual pregnancies in Stri Jatak Saptamsha, the

reckoning of the first house would merely be contingent on the Rashi

rising in Saptamsha Lagna and the controlling Bhava factor would be

relegated to the background?

Regards.

Anurag.
