Can anyone please tell the effects of retrograde planets?

Shri learned astrology gurus,

 

I have 3 retrograde planets - mars, shani and guru. Guru and mars are

in lagna leo. Can any one please throw some light on the effects of

retrograde planets? do they lose their power?

 

birth details are : 12th Feb 1980, Roorkee(nr. haridwar, uttranchal),

time 20:10 pm

 

I think due to my shani(retrograde) in second house, i am short-

sightedness in my right-eye (more in right then left eye) and some

stammering. is all this due to shani? What can be done for reducing

shanis effect?
