Hello All:

Greetings. I have the following (basic) questions. I am looking for

answers. Thank you.

1. "Navamsa" chart is defined as a ninth-harmonic representation.

What does this mean. From Rasi Chart, how one would derive this

Navamsa Chart?

2. While Rasi represents a snap shot of the locations of the planets

at the time of birth, what does Navamsa signify physcially?

3. I hear strongly from some people that "Marakan" (one who is

responsible of Marakam is 12th house lord. However, some say it is

2nd or 7th houuse lord. So, how do I identify "Marakan"? In Shri. B

V Raman's book ("How to Judge a Horoscope"), for different Lagnas,

marakas (planets) are listed. These does not seem to be coinciding

with what has been mentioned in his earlier writing at the begining

of the Chapter (3).

4. Sometime back I came across a horoscope that has the following

data:

(Asc: Gemini); (8th House-Capricorn: Me,Mo, Ju, Ve,Su); (4th House-

Virgo: Mars, Raghu); (3rd House-Pisces: Sat,Ke)

Star: U.Shadya

Navamsa Chart: (Asc:Saggitarius; 2nd H: Me; 3rd H: Mo,Ra; 4th H: Ju;

5th H: Ma, Ve; 9th H: Su,Ke; 11th H: Sat)

How would one interpret/read this chart, as most of the planets seem

to disappear in the 8th House of Rasi chart while, Navamsa is

predominantly used for marriage purposes!!

Your answers to these questions are most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Warm regards

Bharadwaj
