Dear Vinita Ji and List Members, Namaskaar.

Interesting question. Allow me to share some of my understanding…

I think to better understand the answer, one has to gauge more into

the Gunas.

Per the Classics, Supreme God has manifested in three forms. With

Satwa Guna He is Visnu, with Rajas Guna He is Brahma and with Tamas

Guna he is Shiva.

Accordingly the signs were divided into three --. dual, movable and fixed

to represent Satwa, Rajas and Tamas respectively.

=======================

BPHS (English Translaiton):

Ch. 1. The Creation

9-12. Śrī Vishnu, who is the Lord (of all matters), who has undefiled

spirit, who is endowed with the three Gunas, although he transcends

the grip of Gunas (Gunatita), who is the Author of this Universe, who

is glorious, who is the Cause and who is endowed with valour, has no

beginning. He authored the Universe and administers it with a quarter

of his power. The other three quarters of Him, filled with nectar, are

knowable only to the philosophers (of maturity). The Principal

Evolver, who is both perceptible and imperceptible in Vasudeva. The

Imperceptible part of the Lord is endowed with dual powers, while the

Perceptible with triple powers.

13-15. The three powers are Śrī Shakti (Mother Lakshmi) with

Sattva-Gun, Bhū Shakti (Mother-Earth) with Rajo-Gun and Nīl Shakti

with Tamo-Gun. Apart from the three, the fourth kind of Vishnu,

influenced by Śrī Shakti and Bhoo Shakti, assumes the form of

Shankarshan with Tamo-Gun, of Pradyumna with Rajo-Gun and of Anirudh

with Sattva-Gun.

20. Lord Vishnu, coupled with Śrī Shakti, rules over the three worlds.

Coupled with Bhoo Shakti, He is Brahma causing the Universe. Coupled

with Neel Shakti, He is Shiva, destroying the Universe.

=======================

For a Movable Rahsis, the Baadhak Sthaana are Fixed in nature.

For Fixed Rashis, the Baadhak Sthaana are Movable in nature.

Similarly, the dual signs also try to balance each other.

So, the above was to do with the signs.

Jupiter and Mercury are not "Baadhak" to each other. There is a lot

more that has to be considered.

1) Baadhaka Sthaana

2) Baadhakesh

3) Baadhakesh Placement

4) Planets with Baadhakesh

5) Planets in Baadhaka Sthaana

6) More…

Even within the planetary cabinet, each has a purpose and a role. For

example, Venus has also been designated as a Guru.

Hope some of this helps.

May the Gurus continue to guide us.

Best wishes and warm regards,

Nitin.

Dear Members,

Placement of Jupiter and Mercury is important for learning

astrology. Why are the two planets badhak to each other?
