Shloka 169 as translated reads as follows:

"If the lord of the Navamsa occupied by Jupiter is in a Kendra position, the

native shall have children."

Lord of Navamsha occupied by a planet is strong then the Planet gains strength

and in turn the Bhava owned by it and its Karakatwa gains strength. However in

the case you have cited. Navamshesh of Jupiter is Sun and not Jupiter. Jupiter

is Vargottam and aspects 5th so normally it should give progeny, but for the

fact that he is also lord of th 8th. So if Sun (dispositor of Jupiter the Putra

Karaka) is also in strength in Navamsha progeny should be

The question is, does this indicate that the native of the chart will bear children?
