Sun functional benefic for Aries rising

Hello,

 

According to some classics, Sun is a functional benefic for Aries rising.

 

I understand the Sun sheds its malefic quality as it is ruling a kendra

house. Hewever, it is not sufficient to consider it as a benefic planet.

 

Could anybody explain?

Dear Denis

 

"Functional" benefic. That is what it is. Sun for aries, mars for

dhanu , saturn for libra, saturn for taurus. Functional benefic are

supposed to be good for the particular ascendant type, despite their

natural "behavior". Sun is a kona lord and not kendra lord for aries.

Sun rules fifth for aries right? Thus meditating on Sun, having

sun/appollo in the logo/caption of the company or trademark for Aries

lagna rising can be really good for them. Can you do research on

these lines?

Hi Labouré,

 

For Aries rising Sun Owns the Trikona House (5th) , always Trikona lords

are benific.

Even for that matter if they own the malefic houses like (6, 8 , 12) the

maleficness will be

reduced to greater extent ,But that is not the case with the Kendra Houses,

if the benific owns

the Kendra House they suffer with the Kendradipatya Dosha, Learned Gurus may

correct me if I am

wrong.

Dear Denis,

Sun is 5th lord and hence owns trine for Aries Lagna. That is why he is

a functional benefic.
