Guest guest
Respected Sirs, If anybody knows what is meant by Gandantha, plz tell me. I have read that certain stars have Gandantha dosha. If a person is born in Gandantha what is the affect on that child's life. Will it affect parents? What is the result if a person is born in 4th pada of Ashlesha? Respectfully, jyothi. Guest guest
Namasthe Astrological Zodiac is made of 27 Nakshtras. They are clustered into 3 groups of 9 each, starting with Aswini - Aslesha, Magha - Keta, Moola -Revathy, each spaning 13degrees and 20 minutes. 13'20"" X 27 = 360 Degrees 9 X 3 X 13'20"" = 360 Degrees. The span of 13'20"" of each Nakshtra is again divided into 4, each spanning 3'20"" ( 3 degrees and 20 minutes). This part is called Pada of the Nakshtra. Incidently one Navamsa of a Rasi also spans 3'20"". The Starting Degree and the ending Degree of each Cluster is called Gandantha. This is also called "Sandi" Rasi Sandi, Nakshtra Sandhi, Sandya- Sandhi of Yama. All these bring almost similar effects on the native. For all practical purpose if the birth in the Last Pada of the Last Nakstra of each Cluster and The First Pada of the Starting Nakshtra in the Cluster is considered worst, particularly in respect of Longevity of the Native. Usualy Gandandtha is effective if the birth within 1 degree (approx) It is written in most Astrological works that the chaild shall die soon if born in Gandantha (within 1 degree of the Sandhi) and if he lives - He shall be a King ( Lives like as king- Very rich etc) But shall destroy parents. The said effect may or may not take place in the case of Particular Native since there are many other factors to be considered. But I have seen a few Horoscopes were the native longivity is "Madhya" - Max 60 years. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Suresh Very correct reading about the gandanta. I have seen this happen a few times. If they live they destroy parents OR relationship with parents is terrible if the naksatra is apasavya and other degrees of gandanta should be taken from standard works With best wishes and warm regards, Sanjay Rath * * * Sri Jagannath CenterR 15B Gangaram Hospital Road New Delhi 110060, India http://srath.com, +91-11-25717162 * * * > >sureshbabuag [sureshbabuag] >Sunday, March 20, 2005 10:45 PM >vedic astrology >[vedic astrology] Re: What is meant by Gandantha?? > > > >Namasthe > >Astrological Zodiac is made of 27 Nakshtras.
