First You should do is to find worth of trust Jyotisha (astrologer), and try to ask Him if He can help You. This is the way of approaching. All knowledge which are based on descending proccess needs a Guru who can bring "apple of knowledge" to the hand of person in need. So this many opinion are not something unusual. Regarding marriage I WAS TAUGHT TO : - first look on Upapada (Arudha of 12 House) - You should also tell if You had any previous relation. How can one predict something about Your marriage if He dont know if You had some serious relationship. So all this Jyotisha who dont ask this question either dont know what they're doing or there are risky or they base on intuition (which i dont criticize). Best is go to astrologer eye to eye and spend some discussion on Your previous relationships or if hadnt any, then look simply at Your upapada.
