When can sun & moon be powerful?

Respected Sirs,

 

 

Let me first thank all the scholars who are promptly replying and

clearing my doubts. Please dont laugh at my ignorance about Jyotisha. I

am just a beginner and hence I have so many doubts pending in my mind,

which I didnt get a chance to clear due to lack of a proper platform.

Now , my doubt is how can we check if sun and moon is powerful in ones

chart? Many said that yogas can be powerful only if the luminaries are

powerful. In my horoscope, moon is in Cancer along with saturn with 4

bindus in chandrashtavarga. I was born at night(Krishnapaksha

Dwadashi). Does birth at night indicate that sun is not strong(plz dont

laugh :-))) And since I was born near to amavasi does it mean moon is

also not strong? Please tell me how to check the strength of sun & moon.
