An Interesting bit of information I read

http://sify.com/news/infographics/prank/index.php

There is nothing funny about the origin of April Fool's Day. In ancient and

medieval times, people celebrated April 1 as the beginning of the new year.

When the Gregorian Calendar was introduced in 1582, it called for New Year's day

to be celebrated on January 1. France adopted the reformed calendar, but many

countries resisted the change.

The so-called modernists who accepted the new calendar began to make

fun of the traditionalists, calling them 'fools' and trying to trick

them into believing something false. Thus began the Fool's Day

tradition. A look at some of the famous Fool's Day pranks.

I think in those medieval times The New Year was more nearer to Aries Ingress.

And current new years is closer to Makara/Capricorn Ingress.

Warm Regards
