Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Friends, Work is in progress by SJC members to release a new version of book "Vedic Remedies in Astrology". The new release will include the following. 1. All Sanskrit fonts would be converted from the existing Susha Font to ITRANS (Recommended and used by www.omkarananda-ashram.org) 2. Corrections to many mantras. 3. Addition of Guru mantra's from the Shankaracharya Kanchi Mutt. 4. Enhanced Images for Yantra and other diagrams. We are in the process of getting feedback from the audience for their recommendations. Please feel free to give 1. Any Question you feel could be answered by the book. Selected questions with their answers will be answered in the FAQ section of the book. 2. Any errors or corrections you have found in the book. Please give chapter and your suggested correction, If any. 3. Other Suggestions and opinions. 4. Criticisms if any are also welcome. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Sanjay, May I ask if there will be a greater attempt to generalize deities? For example: Durga may represent the Virgin Mary, or Quan Yin? Shiva may represent Jesus insofar as Jesus, like Shiva, represents release and salvation. When I have a client whose Ishta is Mars and if their background does not provide a framework for Agni I suggest the 'face' of their god be anything from a Samurai, to an Amazon or any figure from the Celtic or Red Path traditions, depending on their orientation. So far this seems to be working very well, insofar as the feeling states reported by my clients. I have done this based on the belief that no matter which spiritual path a person follows, if they do so they will ultimately be lead to their own truth. Here's hoping I am not too far off base. Guest guest
Dear Phyllis, I certainly agree with you suggestion for " greater attempt to generalize deities" But the question is where can we find some authentic information on this. Somebody who would have some good knowledge of Christianity, Islam etc should help. Do you have any such list of dieties?. Then with the approval of Sanjayji It can be added to VRA. Warm Regards -Sanjay On 4/18/05, Phyllis Chubb <phyllis (AT) phyllischubb (DOT) com> wrote: || Om Gurave Namah || Dear Sanjay, May I ask if there will be a greater attempt to generalize deities?
