So, this is good news then, that you can relate to how the normal observations

of your chart, really do fit you.

This is a very important stage because it gives confidence that Jyotish really does work.

Then, it's a matter of figuring out what you'd like to improve or accomplish in your life.

Then, by examing the areas of your chart that correspond with those 'desires'

you can figure out whether you'll have benefic sailing so to speak, or whether

you'll encounter any malefic planetary configurations and their affects.

This is perhaps Jyotish's greatest contribution to the affairs of human life,

that our live's and charts can be broken into Benefic & Malefic, predictable

realities and events.

The Benefics, of course, we don't normally have to worry about, but

the Malefics show us where we need to change, improve, and especially do remedial measures etc.

You had also mentioned you might be interested in learning Jyotish.

I don't know how strong your desire is, but I thought I'd mention, I'm right
