If a planet occupies the same sign in Rasi Chart as well as D-9, it is said to be vargottama. The word vargottama is formed as: varga + uttama. This indicates that the planet is in a good division and likely to give benefic effects. But varguttam is not "always" beneficial. Specially when planets occupy in their debilitation sign. For example; Aquarius langa chart having vargottama Jupiter in Capricorn may lead to penury and financial crises. For Aries lagna, Venus when vargottam in Virgo may mar martial life. Practically speaking, it intensifies the general rashi phala. Like, body and soul are possessed identical purpose and modes. I have both MOON and MARS in Vargottam. In Rasi chart Moon is in Saggitarius sign in 8th house while in 6th house in Navamsa. Mars is in 10th house in Rasi chart (aquarius sign) and 8th house in Navamsa. Kindly shed some light on the planetary position and their impact on my life in general.
