I must say that it was a great learning experience for me. I am sure that other list members too would have benefited immensely by the analyses of the puzzle. Well, the answer to the puzzle is Option C) May 9, 1997 Only Utpal Pathak & Panditji hit the bull's eye! My hearty congratulations to both of you! The other members who came very close were Pradeep Gurav, Raghunath Rao Nemani and to certain extent Sarbani Sarkar. They all arrived at January 26, 1997 which was incidently the date of the couples' engagement. I had just come back from My 'Sandhya Vandan' and Maa Mahalakshmi says move on and not to think about that i have been correct (I have been failed twice before this) and should give the credit to deserving persons. hence, i congratulate to 'Panditji' for his plain Venilla method, and also the class members of PVRji if they arrived at cirrect conclusion. I must thank Shri Narsimha Rao here becuse i have first heard the TP Technique from one of his MP3 Lessons very recently only and was impressed and curious to try it to charts. I was earlier using Tajaka in limited scope and wasn't confident myself with that (means i may not be knowing it properly). members can see that I have used TP as my final judgement and this case only increases my confident level to use this TP Technique. I take this opporunity to ask Panditji to just have a look at it as i also used it with an open mind. but honestly, panditji's explanation was also very intresting and noteworthy. I must thank (many thanks) Shri PVR for the S/w and him as well as Shri Pvr & Sanjayji for TP. This puzzle is a trend-setter in several ways, as it was objective with A, B, C, D choices and a nice summary of all the attempts is given at the end complete with all the links! BTW, we discussed this puzzle in my Sunday class at Dracut (near Boston) on last Sunday (May 22). My class too chose option C. With Dwisaptati sama dasa and Narayana dasa, we did not get a clear picture. We jumped back and forth and were not sure. However, when we saw the annual Tithi Pravesha chart (lunar return chart), we were fully convinced that May 9, 1997 must have been the marriage date. It was crystal clear based on TP. Panditjis analysis is a good proof that,principles when applied in proper, can reveal. I do not know about tithi pravesha.If it can reveal a lot about the current year,then it will be really helpful.My humble view is first dasha/then transit then other techniques may be a good heirarchy.
