Guest guest Posted May 30, 2005 Report Share Posted May 30, 2005 Om Brihaspataye Namah Dear members, If Saturn is not a maraka lord or a functional malefic, would it be ok for someone who is undergoing Sade Sati to wear the blue Saphire ?A friend of mine is wearing blue saphire along with diamonds not as remedial measure, but as a decorative jewelery. would this be adverse ? Lagna is Libra, with lord Venus in 6th and Saturn in 8th, moon and Ketu in in 9th (SadeSati currently) Would that be adverse for my friend. ? Appeasing Saturn, should help this native (specially when Sade sathi is on). Probably those stones are not working. Sometimes mantra japa is a better approach. Prolonged use of gems, specifically good quality gems which end up touching your body, can surely have positive/negative effects. Due consideration is required. In general, wearing a gemstone is an attempt to attain exalation for it. When a planet is exalted, it is happy. That is the goal anyways, to make it happy so that it behaves itself in relation to a specific chart. Appreciate your comments on Saturn. However here in this case, the subject with Libra ASC is a non-hindu and as such chanting Rudram is out of the question. But coming back to the question. It is well known that when Saturn is weak it's malicious nature will increase. Here in this case Saturn is a functional benefic and a yogakaraka, so i don't see how strengthening Saturn is absurd. Going by that logic, one should then try to weaken Saturn during SadeSati to reduce his malefic influence, however i have not heard of anyone proposing that since it is well known that a weak Saturn is even more problematic. It is generally accepted that people who have strong and well placed Saturn have less problems during Sade Sati. As such i am in doubt as to whether one should even bother to tinker with Saturn, but in this example we are dealing with a yogakaraka. ! Giving black cloths away to poor old folks are also some sort of remedial actions if i recall correctly. Thank you for your reply Hari.
