Kn rao uses only 7 chara karaka scheme. in that case the one defeated in this struggle for being Amk is replaced by rahu. Otherwise one does not use rahu. .... Do you mean to say that even if they are in the same degree, once AK is decided in a chart, it will be AK for the life of the person? If not and it changes, then what does it mean at the spiritual level. Are there any mythological stories that convey this message. So now we have one less graha and so rahu replaces mangal ( Note: This does not mean rahu is Amk). Go down the list according to degree and since mangal won't be available you will end up with one short and so rahu needs to be used. As per my understanding..Rahu can not be atmakarak. This is according to 7 karaka scheme. If you want to follow 8 karaka scheme follow the articles writen by them. .... I vaguely recall from some previous thread that it occurs when a planet's age is reached... For eg. Moon's was about 30 years. Now what is the age of a planet, and is there a table that shows when we can time replacement of charakarakas!
