Matangi Mantra

Dear Friends,

 

I have been searching for the "Matangi Mantra" for a friend. What is

available on the net is the Dasakshara Mantra but not the full thing.

Can anybody help me with that ?

 

I have tried most well known shops in Chennai.

Mr.Jithendra,

Kindly elaborate the utility, benefits of ‘Mathangi

manthra’ and the manthra prayog procedures.

according to manthramahodhathi of mahidhara

 

the sage of the manthra is matanga , the metre is anushtup and the

deity is matangi who is eager to captivate all people.

 

the sadanga nyasa is with the letters of the manthra split at

4,6,6,6,8 and 2 . After te of nyasa the devotee shall meditate the

goddess .

 

dyana verse

 

ghanasyamalangim sthitham ratna peede

shukasyoditham srennvatheem rakthavasthram

surapanamathaam sarojasthithangrim

bhaje vallkim vadayanthim matangim

 

i resort to sri matangi whose complexion is dark like the cloud , who

is seated on a pedestal studded with gems , who wears red cloth ,who

listens to the chirping sound of parrot , who is stationed on a lotus

who is in elibiated after the consumption of liquor and who plays on

the lute .

 

the devotee shall repeat the manthra ten thousand times .he shall

perform a thousand homas with madhuka lowers smeared with honey. the

worship is on the pedestal in accordance with the procedure to be

mentioned.

 

the mystic diagram with the triangle in the middle, then two lotuses

of eight petals one circling the other , then sixteen petalled one

surrounding it and a sqaure enveloping all . after making this

pedestal the devotee shall worship thereon the nine saktis who bestow

everything desired

 

they are vibhuti ,unnti,kanti,srsti,kirti,sannati,vyusti, utkrstirddhi

and matangi

 

the pithat manthra is of 16 syllables

om hrim aim srim sarvasakti kamalasanaya namah

 

after offering seat with this manthra the devotee offers padya etc.

with mula manthra . after offering of flowers the avarana worship is

performed.

 

in the triangle the three deities rati ,priti and manobhava are

worshipped . in the filaments the six angas and the mothers in the

middle of the petals of the first eight petalled lotus

 

in the secon eight petalled lotus the bhairavas eginning with asitanga

are worshipped .

 

in the sixteen petalled lotus the following deities are to be worshipped

 

1 vama

2 jyeshta

3 raudri

4 prasantika

5. sraddha

6. maheswari

7 kriya sakti

8 sulaksmi

9 srsti

10 mohini

11 pramata

12 asvasini

13 vidyullata

14 cicchakti

15 nandasundari

16 nandabuddi

 

in the sqaure in the main quarters mahamatangi , mahalakshmi,mahasidhi

and mahadevi are worshipped and the corners of south east etc

vighnesa ,durga ,batuka, and ksetrapala are to be adored .there after

the quardians of thequarters as well as their weapons beginning with

vajra.

 

at the time of worship the bija manthra om hrim aim srim are to be

used in the beginning and the word matangi in the end is to be added

to the names of different deities,

 

if the homa is perfomed with mallika flowers the devotee will have all

enjoyments , with bilva leaves or fruits he shall have kingdom,if the

fruits and leaves of brahma tree are used people will be under control.

 

with banana fruit the devotee shall attain all desires.

 

matangi manthra is good for worship of sun
