another puzzle on an important life event

Dear Friends

Namaste.

I could not resist posting this puzzle after reading several of them

recently. The incident is an important event for the person concerned.

It should be seen in any form of chart analysis. I could not see it

with my limited knowledge in astrology. I wish to learn this.

The time of the incident is 4:30 AM on 20-September-2004.

Particulars of the related person:

DOB:15-August-1964

TOB:07:10 AM

Time Zone: 5:30 East of GMT

Lon:85:50E

Lat:20:14N

Place: Nearest - Khurda (Orissa).

He has 3 younger brothers and one sister. His elder brother died after

his birth. His father worked in police department.

I will appreciate your responses. Do not hesitate to post even if your

analysis shows a negative event.

At the physical level, lose of comfort, and got a new house.

Vimsottari dasa: Me dasa (lord of 2nd and 11th), Sa anthardasa

(owner of A4, and uses A3).

In D4, all the activity is in the 4th house. Me (5th and 8th lord),

Sa(gives results of Jp), 2nd and 11th. Gives gains, and resources

and unexpected windfall as AL is in 4th as well.

But from Narayana Dasa, this person's longeviety is in question.

Cancer is the rasi dasa running

1. Analyzing it as 12th house - Sun the lagna lord is in maranakara

sthana. Since this is the focus bad for the lagna.

2. Analyzing it with cancer as lagna, 7th lord Sa in 8th (Ra is the

lord of 8th as Sa is in the house + plus Ra is 2 other planets).

This is again a bad combination.

3. Taking Entry chart, Cancer is again the anthardasa, and

unfortunately 8th lord of longevity is again in 7th the loss of it.

Very consistently pointing to the native's longevity loss on all the

three analyses, but can't see the same result using Vimsottari

(Moon).

I wish I am wrong on the Narayana Dasa analyses!!

Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya

Dear Swadhin,

He is running Cn Narayana dasa which is of 12th house(Foreign).

According to 3 parts rule Cn itself gives the result. Cancer has

A10,12 & A8 in 12th house. Also aspects 7th house of journey.

Form Tithi Pravesha chart for 2004, he was running Venus-Sat Tithi

Ashttotari dasa. Venus(25Ta) gives a big yoga in the house of

profession. Closer to Yasha Sahama(24Ta) & Gaurav Sahama(24Ta)

saturn(25Ge) closer to Putra Sahama(25Ge). I take this chance to

minimum as it is the main period of Venus.

In his transit Lagna Lord is in Sadhana and also Mars & Ju too.

All this indicates to me

1. Good event

2. Achievement( Yasha & Gaurav)

This indicates that he might have gone to Foreign country in relation

to work.

Dear Pradeep

Thanks very much for your attempt. I was probably wrong to say that

the event can be found even with simple forms of chart analysis.

Actually, I am wondering why we are not able to see the event in

simple chart analysis - is it owing to either lack of sufficient

knowledge or limitations of those type of analyses?

I will post the answer today evening. Perhaps we can discuss about

this issue then. As I left a hint is my posting - it is a negative

event in my life.

Dear Dasguptaji

This event is from my own life. My mother did not suffer from 1990, as

I know. Could you please elaborate your analysis? I am planning to

post all the answers with explanations so that it helps us to do

postmortems.

I hope some more members attempt this puzzle. It is unimportant whose

answer came correct, rather it is important to know methods and ways

of analyses.

Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya

Dear Swadhin

When I look at any chart I try to get a feeling of benefic/malefic

influence from many sides such as dashas,tranits, kotachakra etc. It

gives me a quite correct picture of the phase individual is going.

In your case I did not see any signs that indicate suffering.

The hint you gave was death of your father if I am not wrong, but

above logic led me to ignore that.

I am trying to retrospect my analysis, that bad event might not had

any terrible impact on you as your chart does show any suffering at

that time.

But sure our knowledge on this is far from perfect.

Dear Swadhin,

I want to note here that as you claim that you provided a hint of

negative event is never a drive for me to judge the event. One can

easily misguide by such hints.

I am giving you the exact ways by which I have looked at your puzzle.

1) You were going thro' Dasha of Merc/Saturn. Mercury 2nd &

11th lord & Saturn as 6th & 7th lord and worst malefic for your

Lagna, easily prevented me to think about any positive events. More

over it's Chhidra Dasha.

2) Transit also supported the negative events further as Shani

had just entered the Cancer, which is a 12th house for you and Sun

is placed there in Maran Kark Sthana. Venus was also transiting over

Sun. So your Natal Sun was under Malefic transit effects of both the

Malefics for Leo Lagna. Rahu was transiting your 9th house which is

Marankarka place for him.

3) I verified event in the light of your wife. But Saturn

placed in his own house can not take away wife. More over, UL and

Navmansha didn't indicate any –ve event about Spouse.

4) Saturn cast it's dangerous aspect on 9th house with Graha &

Rashi Drashti both. Mercury is very malefic to your 9th house

(Father). Transit Saturn was over your Natal Sun, Saturn is lord of

7th from Sun, it was also Transiting 2nd (Marka) house from your

natal 9th lord Mars, which is also your Char Pitru Karka. Rahu was

transiting 9th house. These all factor made me think about demise of

your father.

5) In your TP chart of 2004, Sun is in 12th with debilitated

Mars which is the lord of 9th house. 9th has Rahu in Maran Kark

Sthana. Depositor of Sun & Mars is on the axis. The same moon is

also lord of A9. Dasha Running was Venus/Saturn/Rahu.

Venus is Strong Marka lord from 9th house placed in own Marka house.

There are few other things as well but the above were sufficient for

me to conclude about your father's demise. I may prove wrong but I

am never afraid of that and don't search for execuses.

Dear Utpal

Thanks for the detail explanation. I agree with you that analysis

method is important; particularly for probabilistic/empirical

predictive techniques.

I thought by saying it a negative event I might reduce 50% chances of

errors. To keep the interest in the puzzle I should say there is still

scope for trying it.

Namaste.

Thanks for your encouraging words. I am now trying to understand all

the answers with my limited knowledge. My friend Pratap is a great

help for me to understand those complicated jargons. This exercise is

quite encouraging for me; many of the folks did not see the event as

am I. So, I do not feel as frustrated as I used to be when I started

analyzing this event. May be we are missing an important link in this

exercise. Hopefully it will come out during the postmortems.

I feel the event analyses will be incomplete without your inputs. I

hope interested members will bear with us for another few days.

With reference to my previous mail on the puzzle,I am now adding one more aspect

can be....Loss of a valuable thing...by theft or robbery or because of water

related things...sea,river,pond.This is my blank guess from the chart without

using any high techniques of ancient or modern astrology tools.

Because,I see cancer as the lagna ,water sign,saturn conjoins the mercury and

venus..may be vehicle lost.because it is in 12th from lagna.So,I guess either

change in the environment as u are now or loss of a property/belonging which is

luxury also.

Pls accept my answer.

Namaste Swadhin ji,

1. According to the vimsottari dasa ( starting from Mo ), you were

running Me/Sa/Me on Sep 20, 2004. Me is the 2nd and 11th lord in the

lagna. I think it is a nice dhana yoga. Also yogada. Sa (AD) is 7th

lord, placed in the 7th from Me. 7th house shows desires, spouse,

relationship etc.. The bhoga of Me/Sa falls in the lagna itself. So

the experience felt during Me/Sa will that of the lagna which shows

the physical existence, self, name, fame etc. So it confirms what you

said that it is some thing imortant to yourself. If we take PD, Me, it

is the 2nd ( maraka ) and 11th ( gains, friends, elder sibling etc) is

placed in lagna itself. The bhoga in this Me/Sa/Me falls in lagna

itself. Lagna has Bhagya pada A9. This shows that the protection,

blessings, fortune, long travel among others. So the event has to be

one of this, that impacts you. Also 3rd from AL. Benefic Me in 3rd

house shows a saintly image and not bold or not taking initiative kind

of impression to the world. Mrityu sahama is Aq, at 15 degrees close

to Sa.

In Navamsa D9, The Me due to yoga with 5th lord Ra gives' Ra's result.

Now the AD, Sa is the yogakara placed nicely in the 3rd house. The

bhoga is in the 4th house with UL. So the experience during this dasa

is that of giving away some thing for the joy of dharma. Now the PD,

Me gives Ra's result. Again 5th house result. Ra is in A6 and A4. The

bhoga falls in lagna. Again self with A11. Some gains in dharma is

experienced on this day by you ?.

D1 , Narayana dasa. Cn/Cn:

In general Cn is the 12 house dasa shows loss, giving away, foreign

settlement, hospitalization etc.. Cn is a pristhodaya rasi so the

sign gives the result in last 1/3rd of the dasa. The event happened in

the last 1/3rd in the Cn AD. In this period the 12 house results will

be given. The arudha pada A8, A10 and A2 are expected during this

time. It is in the 2nd from Al, which means resourceful in the eyes of

the world and tangibly because of A2. From Mo, it is the 10th house of

karma. The signs Ta - 10th house, Sc - 4th house and Aq-7th house

aspect Cn sign. All these significations can be expected during this

last quarter. I do not know as how to sub divide this sign results

exactly. 12th house results and all quadrants results are expected in

this period.

According to the Naadi transit principles, I'm just taking transits of

Su, Ma and Sa's only as they are in the beginning degrees. 1) Su

transiting Vi has 9th aspect on natal Ju. There will be contact with

prestigious persons, co-operation from cultured persons. The native's

status in society also will grow. 2) Ma is Vi as the 9th aspect on

natal Ju. Native will develop high blood pressure. There me some

mishaps your job. Enemies may cause trouble. Fire accident is

possible. 3) Sa's transit on natal Su in Cn,indicates uneasiness to

native's father and hazars in professional field. Dispute b/n father

and son.

Analysis using Tithi pravesa chart (2004):

Lagna is vargottama as compared to the natal lagna. Hora lord Mercury

is well placed in lagna. So this year seems to be a promising year.

2nd, 11th and lagna's significations are promised this year. On Sep

20, 2004, you were running Ve MD / Su AD. Ve is the strong 10th lord

in 10th house, forming many raja yogas. Su is lagna lord in yoga with

Ma, the debilitated yogakara in the 12th house. So Su gives Ma's

results. A9 and A2 are in the 12 house. Some indication of either

results of 2nd house with A4, is likely experienced then. Ma ans Su

form a nice rahja yoga. However they are not close enough. Yasa,

Gaurava, asha, Pitru, Rajya, Karma, Bhandu, Vivaha and Peeti sahamas

are applicable :-). All these show lot of good activities happening

then.

In T.P Navamasa, Ve is the 5th and 12th lord, placed in the 3rd house

in UL. Ve is the karaka for marriage and UL could show marriage.

However the graha arudha of Ve falls in the 6th house of marana karaka

sthana which is not good for Ve the houses owned by Ve, 12th and 5th.

In TP Dasamasa D10, Ve, the 12th and 8th lord is in the 11th house in

A8 (retirement, big break, sudden change) with the 11th lord and 8th

lord Me. So Ve wil give Me's result. Some sudden change, result in a

higher authoritative (GL) job ?. Su is the 10th lord in A9 in the 7th

of desires, business. This should give a lucky break. Travel related

to the job, to overseas ?.

According to Kashyapa hora chart (July 1st 2005, 16:19:37 EST,

Westford, MA, USA), Ju hora was running. This means the question is

about the Jeeva, health, auspicious deeds and about your success. Hora

lord Ju is with Ke which indicates that the native will have to either

encounter or overcome some major obstructions. Ra ( darkness, mouth of

eternal time factor, head) and Ma (brother, enemy, arrow, sharp

weapon, fire etc) have their 7th aspect on Ju, which can cause

problems to the native, Ju. Mo ( which signifies travel,

mother,mother-in-law, cheating, water is in the 12th house to Ju. The

problems could be also due to these also. So this chart shows some

problems to you then.

Conclusion : Either something happened to your wife, or your

blood-pressure shooted up on that day bad enough to be hospitalized or

your long journey or settlement abroad plan materialized. Or simple

admission to an hospital.

Sorry, it's not an easy one for me. As usual, I will correct my

understanding, after your answers :-)

Dear Swadhin,

well, i did not go thru the chart thoroughly. Mer was transiting it's natal

position. you are also running mer-sat dasa & sat just entered yr 10 H from

moon. so Mer should be the most important planet at the time and capable of

giving result. Mer is yr MK. generally the chrakarakattwa of the MD planet

will act as AK dasa of the related karaka. so MD of MK planet will act as AK

dasa of mother-means suffering to her. of course this does not neccessarily

mean physical suffering. also 12L (loss) Moon (sthirakaraka for mother) was

debilated in 4H. This may show some loss or death in the house & loss of

happiness.

now let us see the transit more closely. Nadi teaches that when the D1

dispositor & D9 dispositor of a planet comes together in transit.. results

are triggered related to the houses involved. in that way the particular

period seems to be eventfull. following conjuctions are there for 2L

(family, income), 11L (gain, elder brother), 5L(children, mantra, purva

karma) & 8L (end of something, insurance, inheritance)

1. 2L & 11L Mer's D1 dispositor Su (asc lord, father)& D9 dispositor Ma (4L

& 9L, brother)together in 2H: gain of money due to the planet's karakattwas

(i.e father, brother etc.)

2. 5L & 8L Jup's D1 dispositor Ve (10L & 3L, spouse)& D9 dispositor Sa (6L &

7L, elder brother)together in 12H: Loss relating to planet's karakattwas &

houses (i.e children, spouse, elder brother) or some intense spiritual

experience (5H, 8H & 12H are involved).

while checking D1 narayan dasa you were running Cn-Cn. Cn has maranakaraka

Su, 8L Ju in 11H & moon in quadrant. So period was over all good & indicates

gain from inheritance (?). Mer being 2nd & 11L - transiting natal position

also shows gain.

I know. Could you please elaborate your analysis? I am planning to

post all the answers with explanations so that it helps us to do

postmortems.

I hope some more members attempt this puzzle. It is unimportant whose

answer came correct, rather it is important to know methods and ways

of analyses.

Dear Swadhin,

To conclude the event exactly is a reall, really tough job as there are so many

probabilities one can find for the same event which is unknown to him/her. but

still we try our best applying our knowledge and try to gain from it.

Attempting puzzel is a confidence building exercise which gives one strength &

re-assurance about one's knowledge & it's application.

those are my personal views on 'Puzzel'. having said that, i had a one more

serious look at your chart. one more Strong possibility i have found from it is

that

The Incident also Pin point towards mishapp to one of your Children. mainly First Child.

1) Dasha nath Budha is 7th lord (Badhaka,Marka) from your 5th house and Antara

lord Saturn is also one of the strong Marka as the lord of 2nd house from 5th.

2) as per Bhavat-Bhavam, 9th house (5th from 5th) can also be seen for children.

and both Mercury & Saturn are malefic for 9th house as well. Strength of Guru

(5th lord & putra karka) is debiliated in Navmansha

3) Transit Saturn & Venus (Very malefic for Dhanu, the 5th) were in the cancer

which is the 8th house from the 5th. Transit Saturn also cast it's glance on

9th house which is its debiliated Rashi and transit Rahu placed in it. Rahu &

Ketu were transiting from 9th/3rd axis and ketu in perticular from the A5.

4) Transit Guru (Natal 5th lord) & Mars (Natal 9th lord) were under the Malefic

3rd aspect of Saturn.

5) TP Chart 2004 - Sun as Char PK was in 12th with debiliated 9th lord Mars

(Lord of A5). Hora lord Saturn which is a strong marka for 5th house is palced

in 7th house from 5th. Rahu is placed in 9th in MK sthana which is also A5.

Dasha was of Venus / Saturn. venus is Malefic for 5th house strongly placed in

6th (Maran Karka Sthana) from it. Saturn is 2nd lord from 5th, placed in 7th

from it.

But 5th lord Ju is well placed in Lagna with Digbala and aspects 5th as well as

9th.

So another strong possibility is that your first child may have been affected,

probably due to a road accident as venus is involved and you might also be

affected physically in that incident.

But it would not have been fatal for your child due to the strength of Jupiter.
