Guest guest
Dear Narasimha Ji, Would it be at all possible to include Transliterations of the Sanskrit contents of the TP book, for those of us who may have difficulty in easily reading the Devanagari Script? in case you are planning only the Dev.script? Thanks in any case for thinking about the Sanskrit content, which at least to me is very important, regarding the sound value of Sanskrit terms, schlokas etc. Wishes of best success regarding your book, Sabri. vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R. I invited you because your guru Sri Ramadas Rao sent me an email asking me to invite you. He told me that he is from Kashyapa gothra and learnt Kashyapa Hora from Sri R.G. Rao. He said that you learnt it from him well. He told you to call Sri RG Rao and take his blessings and permission to speak on Kashypa Hora. And you did, which you mentioned to me. It is your guru's confidence in you and the blessings you had from your guru and his guru that, in my mind, gave you the moral authority to speak on "Kashyapa Hora" at the Boston workshop. There were no other factors. And, those have not changed. > > Moreover, my faith in you (actually in your guru) was vindicated when I heard first-hand from people who received good predictions from you based on prashna. For example, one lady who is a very good friend of my wife told me that you talked to her a few days back and predicted that she would find a job in India before the 5th of July. She had already decided to move to India, but had not found a job yet. However, she found a job before the 5th as you said. I did hear from people who got good predictions from you. > > In my view, you have a moral authority to teach Kashyapa Hora. If one is successful, it is not necessarily due to good principles. It can be due to luck, good intuition brought by a good dasa, good intuition thru spirituality or even a Karna Pisachi! There may be another person who has nearly perfect knowledge of all the principles but keeps erring in the final judgment and gives wrong prediction. I may be able to learn more useful things from the latter than the former and progress as a predictive astrologer despite the predictive failures of that person! For example, the best cricketers do not necessarily make the best coaches. Majority of the successful cricket coaches were average players in their days. In any case, this is a secondary issue. > > It will be good to meet you and hear you teach Kashyapa Hora. It will also be good to pray to Mother Lakshmi along with you. So please talk to your guru and rethink your decision. If you withdraw this decision, you can let me know publicly or privately. If you stick to this decision, I can respect the decision and find a replacement speaker and topic. Please let me know in either case. > > If you indeed made mistakes in some of your puzzle attempts and mispresented a not-really-blind analysis as a blind analysis, it is indeed a bad thing. I do not support such behavior. However, you have realized your error and vowed to not repeat it. In my mind, the issue is closed. The rest is between you and your God(dess). I have enough issues between myself and my own Goddess that it will be foolish of me to intervene in your issues or pronounce judgments. When I myself am caught in the web of Moha and other shadripus (six internal enemies) and struggling to overcome one weakness after the other, it will be foolish of me to judge you or others. > > You have done an admirable job and keep it up! Everybody makes mistakes. But only some accept them and progress. Don't be emotional about the criticism. Take the lessons in a positive and productive way (and not a destructive way) and move on. You will bring excellent name to your guru and to our institution. I say this whether or not you withdraw your decision. > > May Jupiter's light shine on us, > Narasimha > > PS: My Tithi Pravesha book is progressing well. Either Joe or Pradeep mentioned in one of their earlier messages "Think whether you have the moral authority to present papers at SJC Conferences or not?". > > > > After a deep thinking on his words, I agree with him/them, so I have decided not to present my paper in the upcoming Boston workshop on Oct 16th 2005. I am a member of SJC family and I respect their values and do not want to get bad name, hece wanted to follow the members advise such as Joe/Pradeep, where I see a lot of value in their words. > > > > Narasimha Ji, please excuse me for not being with you and your students this time (I have not met you till today personally, so I thought I will meet you and your students in Oct 2005, but I am not destined yet).
