Guest guest
Dear Ranjan and friends, Don't forget the FREE software "Jagannatha Hora 7.02" created by yours truly!! JHora 7.02 allows you to compute Vimsottari dasa from the natal nakshatras of the following points: Moon, Lagna, Sun, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Mandi, Gulika, Trisphuta, Pranapada Lagna, Utpanna tara, Kshema tara, Adhana tara Moreover, you can find all the above in rasi or other other divisional charts!! Suppose Venus is at 7Ar55, i.e. in Aswini. The first dasa is of Ketu, if you take Venus of rasi chart as the seed for Vimsottari dasa. In navamsa, Venus is in Gemini. If you find a divisional longitude based on the progress of Venus in Gemini navamsa, Venus is at 11Ge15. If you treat navamsa as rasi and find nakshatras in it, this Venus is in Ardra. So the first dasa is of Rahu, if you use Venus in navamsa as the seed. Thus, JHora will let you use any of the references listed above, in any of the divisional charts! Those who interested in research have a lot of possibilities to explore. Moreover, JHora allows you to find the Tribhagi variation of all these various flavors of Vimsottari dasa! In Tribhagi variation, dasas of 9 planets repeat 3 times (with the length being 1/3rd each time). Thus, all the 27 nakshatras find representation individually. You can download JHora at the link given below. In my own experiments, I found these planet-based variations more useful in mundane astrology than natal. But, of course, my experiments were limited.
