Guest guest
Namaste Pandit ji, > Chandra as a reference point is very important. I agree with you whole-heartedly that Chandra lagna is a vital lagna. Unfortunately, people often ignore the most important aspect of one's existence - the mind. It is thru the mind that most of us experience the world! > Secondly, in the examples you have cited, which kundali you will give> preference to ? Are we using> even the principles being advocated consistently ? I will answer it based on my own perspective on this. It is not a matter of rasi and dasamsa fighting and one of them winning. If we try to see the same aspects from the two charts, then the issue of a clash arises. But if we try to see different aspects from the two charts, the question of one chart over-riding the other does not arise. The rasi chart is the chart of physical existence. Dasamsa is the professional environment. Those two are not the same. So there is no clash. Whatever we see in dasamsa, we use it to draw conclusions regarding the professional environment of the person. Whatever we see in rasi chart, we use it to draw conclusions regarding the physical body and physical existence. For example, a political leader may be sick or physically weak or generally in trouble. But he may have excellent support in masses and the professional environment may be that of happiness, success and fame. For example, Ronald Reagan had 8th lord Mercury in 2nd in rasi chart and exalted Mercury in lagna in dasamsa chart. He was shot in an assassination attempt in a Mercury antardasa, but his popularity soared after the incident, partly due to the grace and wit he showed. Exalted Mercury in D-10 lagna shows fame and popularity, but fame and popularity are things that are strictly something to the professional environment. He worked in a professional environment where he was powerful and popular. But, physically, he suffered wounds. > Is it just to justify what is already known ? This is unfair. Those of us who use divisional charts HAVE made many successful predictions. Even my students who studied astrology for just one year solved several puzzles in my class using divisional charts. I have to clarify one thing. Using divisional charts does not eliminate the need for intuition or guarantee perfect results. I used to rely on just rasi and navamsa charts 11 years ago. Then, after a logical and replicable analysis, I used to have 100 possible events to pick from. Of course, I would pick one of them and make a prediction. Now, with the use of divisional charts and various other techniques, I have 10 possible events after the logical and replicable analysis. Then, I have to use my intuition to pick one of them. So, eventually, it boils down to good intuition. But it makes it easier and a higher percentage of the analysis is logical and replicable.
