Guest guest
|| Gurupaatu || Namaste Pradeep, Greetings to you on Guru Poornima day. On this day I would like to suggest to you something, I am not sure how much know, But it seems you do read a lot on Jyotish, A trait which I like. Me also being a student of Jyotish, I would like to suggest something from my academic pursuit so far. You may read further of my this mail if you wish. I dint want to argue any further as it seems it's leading nowhere. Jyotish is a Vedanga, Its an Apara vidya based on assuming that para knowledge is True. So having a Guru is essential. There is this inbuilt belief embedded in Jyotish such that when faith in Guru and Parampara deteriotes this knowledge will reduce. So that this way one gets back to whatever/whomever Guru one beleives in to get the knowledge back. Books and quotes are only usefull after that. The books and quotes are needed only on apara level where we need to main consistency and remove contradictions. Having said this. You can very well continue using _only rashi chart_ and whatever way you want to use divisions. Using just that, you can attain high level of accuracy. After all what you is also true. Everything what Parasara says is true and what you said is also from Parasara's text. Every system which is even partly based on ancient texts like KP or even western astrology. Is partly mentioned in Parashara's text. So they do have some truth in them so they Will work. But who knows the complete truth, I am sure I dont know. But I do follow what's been taught to me from my Guru and elders like Narasimha. Many before me have also followed the same (Varahamihira, Vaidyanaatha, Kalyana varma, BV Raman, KN Rao, Santanam, R.Bhatt, etc etc.) and I would like to do the same. Thank you Warm regards Sanjay P vedic astrology, "vijayadas_pradeep" <vijayadas_pradeep> wrote: > Dear Narasimha ji > > It was not me who is celebrating.I was pointing to the celebration > and sarcasm we had aired because of one shloka. We for a moment > thought we have understood it better than Santhanam. But Santhanam is > the person who had studied the whole BPHS before translation. Thus he > had valid concerns. If we simply listen to parashara, we will > understand Santhanam. In HORA we can neither have aspects nor > houses. No further clue is needed regarding vargas. > > Thanks > Pradeep > > vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R.
