Dear Neo: This is a very fascinating question that you ask. Practical experience shows that any planet casts a positive or negative effect in it's aspects, depending upon whether it's acting or functioning malefically or benefically. So, figuring out whether a certain planet is acting malefically or benefically is an important first question. Then, once you figure that out, then, it'll make more sense when you look at 'that' planet's different aspects. For example, many people who have Exalted Saturn's, notice that their Saturn's sometimes are found acting malefically. Therefore, when you look at that Sani's different aspects, then, don't be surprised if Sani's 3rd, 7th, & 10th house aspects are malefic as well. In addition one of the best ways to determine whether a planet is acting malefically is to ask if the negative or positive qualities of 'that' planet are manifesting. For example, when you find that the more classic negative or malefic influences of Saturn are found, then, even though the planet may be Exalted, still, it can be found acting malefically. If that Exalted Saturn's in the 12th house, and you notice the person has a lot of 12th house 'losses', and 'expenditures', and lack of 'savings', then, it's a fair bet that Saturn is acting malefically. Therefore, it's more then likely that Sani's influences upon the 2nd house, 6th & 9th will also be negative. Things like shyness of speech and expression and even health problems may be the result.
