Dear Shri.Bharatji,

Shiva is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent no

doubt. The Hindu’s ability to see Lord in an idol has

no parallel to our rendering homage to dead. If you

construe praying the Lord and offering homage to dead

are one and the same, then why should Hindus care

about ‘Soothakam’? Is Soothakam in some parts of India

(e.g., Parasurama-kshetra) considered as ‘pavithram’?

Guru is Shivaamsa, Guru is jeevan, and Praanan is

jeevan when praana goes out the remains are savam. This

is my understanding.

With warm regards,

D.SathiyanarayanaGupta.
