Benefic and malefic is not the criteria here. The planets will give results depend upon their Lordship and Position-Aspects-Conjunction (PAC). Generally, vargottam is a term we use in terms of D-1, D-9 or D-10. sometimes, possibly it may not be vargottam in some of the divisional charts. The planet may then show its malefience or benefience based on its lordship and PAC. Can you tell me when does the planet become a vargottam ?? i.e. at what degrees ??? Do some home work and you will arrive something revealing.
