Guest guest
Dear Pradeep, > >>>> Thus, Mercury and Sun are both strong marakas. Mercury-Sun> >>>antardasa makes more sense to me than Mars-Rahu.> > If we are using this variation of Vimshottari,Mercury/Sun is more> suitable. > But then the question is whether Vimshottari from janma nakshathra can> explain Ayur related or not?I feel it is possible. Then Rahu/Kuja is a> better candidate over Guru/Guru. Irrespective of the ayanamsa used, one can find many charts in which the strongest maraka's dasa as per normal Vimsottari dasa does not kill. If one uses weak points to justify a planet's marakatwa, 6 out of 9 planets can be justified in every chart. However, if one uses the most appropriate variation of Vimsottari dasa, almost always the strongest maraka's dasa brings death! I am sure most Jyotishis will agree that 7th lord Mercury in 2nd with ownership of 22nd drekkana and 64th navamsa is the strongest maraka in Tagore's chart. If you are getting his death in Jupiter dasa or Rahu dasa, you are simply not using the best dasa for longevity matters in his chart. BTW, why is Rahu a strong maraka in this chart? He owns 12th and occupies 10th. By his aspect on 2nd, he becomes a weak maraka. Mercury, Sun, Venus anmd Mars are all much stronger marakas than Rahu. > Thanks a lot for the rest of the mail and explanations.I have never> ruled out the importance of conditional dashas.> But i strongly feel, predictive experience using normal dasha,is a> precondition, before attempting conditional.Because Phalita includes> all Phalas, and the general indications shlould be visible. General dasas, in the event of the applicability of conditional dasas, show events vaguely. Out of the 5 or 6 planets that are qualified to give an event, a second tier or third tier candidate may give a result sometimes. It is easy to explain after the fact, but not easy to predict. When the correct conditional dasa is used, the result is given by the one of the top (tier one) candidates. It is easier to predict. Using an applicable conditional dasa to make a prediction is akin to connecting 100 dots to make a picture, while using Vimsottari dasa in the same chart to make the same prediction is akin to connecting only 10 dots to make the same picture. Learning to connect 10 dots to make a picture can never be a "precondition" to learning to connect 100 dots to make the same picture. If one has enough intuition to guess the picture from 10 dots, one does not need to learn guessing it from 100 dots. The latter should be the first step rather than the former! In my view, one can learn Jyotish principles faster if one uses the most applicable nakshatra dasa in a chart. By sticking to normal Vimsottari dasa, people lose the sense of which planet is the best candidate to give an event and which planet is a tier 2 or tier 3 candidate. Students learn to mix up strong and weak candidates. Parasara taught all those dasas for a reason!
