It is also important to use the national birth chart of the country you are planning to invest in. I know many have already answered to your question, here is what I am thinking about this subject. I have read the following to understand the stock market and its trends. 1) An article by Narasimha Ji,which you will find in our VA list archives. 2) A book "Vedic Astrology-Stock Market Analysis" by Sri RG Krishnan You can see the details at the following link http://www.anubazaar.com/rgkrishnan/ After reading the above two, I have done some work in the past. Please get the correct birth time of the stock exchange you want to consider for analysis,such as "DOW" and "NASDAQ" ( in the USA markets ) etc., Once you got the correct birth time/formation time of the stock exchange you want to study, then use "Shat-Trimsa Sama Dasa" and also "Surya-Chandra-Rahu Chakra" (mentioned in the Prasna Marga) then one can see the movements pretty clearly. I have seen some experts using "Yogini Dasa" for the above, but I keep away myself from using Yogini's, as fortunatley our sages have given an equivalent Dasa to "Yogini Dasa" called "Shat-Trimsa Sama Dasa", hence I prefer to use that for this purpose. I will write more on this when I have gotten some satisfactory results, meanwhile, I would suggest my fellow students to continue your research using the above two dasa's and see what you find. Pleaswe take the past rise and fall of USA NASDAQ/DOW markets and also current upword trend of Indian Markets, as they will be very valuable data for your exercise. Hope the above may be helpful.
