Guest guest
Long time back I read somebody commenting on Dr B V Raman's statement that the predictions based on Tajik many times do not come out true (btw, I do not remember the exact wording). The commentator was of the view that the Tajik is valid only for the saayana zodiac and not the nirayana one. Any comments ? Thanks and regards. Guest guest
Dear Narayana, We all know, the Tajik (Solar Return, i.e. Varshphal) forecasting technique mainly hinges upon the special 14 planetary combinations (yogas), muntha, sahams etc. I beg to disagree to the hypothesis that Tajik is only reliable for tropical zodiac. Firstly because of the fact that said 14 yogas (sometime count 16 – when Ittesaal yoga is divided into 3 types) depend on the longitudinal distance between planet(s) rather sign occupation. Its mean whether you take tropical or sidereal zodiac (or any ayanamsa) the formation of 14 yogas can not be changed. So as the Muntha position in certain house for every year. Obviously sign position may vary and annual dasha as well. Secondly, we have uncountable references of the Jyotish practitioners (both renowned and amateur) that have been used Tajik Varshaphal (with niryana zodiac) for many decades and made successful predictions. Thirdly, the Tajik system propagated by Arabs, is actually an amalgam of ancient Indian Jyotish technique (Sudarshan Chakra) and Greek aspect methodology. The confusing element is that the medieval sources written by Iranian and central Asian Muslims used tropical (sayana) zodiac while the Indian commentators of Tajik System (NeelKanth, Surdasa etc) used sidereal (niryana) zodiac. The simple acid test is your own and relatives charts. Test both sidereal and tropical zodiac on varshphala and conclude logical result. Regards, M.
