Guest guest
Dear Finn, Parasara said "navamAMshe kalatrANAm [vijnAnam]" (the word in square brackets is extended from the running context from a previous clause). This literally means "the knowledge of spouses is IN Navamsa". This may mean a lot of things to a lot of people. But the simplest interpretation, as I see it, is "the knowledge of spouses is obtained by interpreting the positions of lagna and planets in the navamsa". We are advised to see spouses "IN" navamsa. There are no references to any "projections" onto rasi or hora or drekkana or dasamsa or something else. So I'll not assume any such projections and go for a simple interpretation. If you say that the navamsa lagna is to be projected onto rasi, I'll ask you why only lagna. Why not some planets? Or, better, why not all of them? When all the planets and lagna are defined in navamsa, why only selectively project one or some of them into rasi chart? Why not project all of them into the rasi chart and use them together?
