Guest guest
Namaste friends, Mahinda Rajapakse was sworn in as the President of Sri Lanka on 2005 November 19 (Saturday) at 1:20 pm in Colombo. I got the data from an Indian news paper report: http://www.hindu.com/2005/11/20/stories/2005112006121200.htm I want to time some events in this presidency. So I need to know how much period dasas should be compressed to. Can someone please tell me the nominal term of a President in Sri Lanka? Is it 4 years like in USA or 5 years like in India? I will give more detailed comments after I know the nominal term. For now, I'll just say a couple of things. Saturn and Mars have an extremely close mutual aspect, within 8 arc-min. Rahu aspects both, within 5 arc-min. Ketu is in 8th. The planetary position is laden with explosive potential. As if that were not enough, they picked Chaturthi tithi and Ardra nakshatra. I thought they follow Jyotisha in Sri Lanka and pick good muhurtas for swearing-in, like they do in India. I wonder after seeing this. The lagna (Aq) is quite good, but the tithi and nakshatra make me wonder if an astrologer picked this muhurta. I wonder if an astrologer was specified a date and asked to just pick a time within the day.
