Guest guest
Dattatreya, he got not just 2 arms but 1000 arms! One of the boons that Shri Karthaveeryarjuna got without asking was that a mere remembrance of him would help in removal of obstacles and ensure retrieval of lost properties. And when he started behaving haughtily, no less than an avatar of Vishnu took birth to restore Dharma. Bhagawan has so many ways of granting liberation to souls; almost all demons were great tapasvis before their basic nature tamasic took over. But the effect of their tapas was so great that the Lord takes incarnations to finish them off. We are mere mortals who die in the hands of messengers of Yama, but their tapas ensures that they meet their end in the hands of Blessed Lord HImself. This is one of the ways in which Lord showers His mercy, i.e. by punishing the evil deeds so that their evil karmas get eradicated. When a soul meets an end in the hands of God Himself, it becomes free from all karmic taints. That is why we remember them. Karthaveeryarjuna was also known to have defeated Ravana hands down in one of the episodes between them! I beg you to get acquainted with more classical works and also apply your mind before coming with arguments like "Bhargava Rama will kill devotees of Karthaveeryarjuna" which ofcourse He will not! God is above such taints such as revenge. And though there seems to be a difference between them, Karthaveeryarjuna is a devotee of Vishnu. Only thing was that his ignorance prevented him from realising that Bhargava Rama was no one other than the BLessed Lord Himself. Bhargava Rama's avatar was to punish all evil-minded and haughty kshatrias who had forgotten their duty of protecting people. He did just that under the pretext of taking revenge for the death of his father Jamadagni Maharishi! Strange are the ways of our Lord. But, I would concur with you that doing an upasana on the Blessed lord Himself is better than doing upasana on other beings. But, can you say that you do not salute any one other than the Lord. Saluting such souls who had contact with the Lord Himself is better than asking help from mere mortals who do not have tapasya merit also which most of us are doing now. Kindly do not confuse spirituality with any ritual! If you are really spiritual, rise above all distinction of form and meditate on the formless Lord! Even the form of Vishnu is a maya. The Lord has taken beautiful forms just so that silly mortals like you and me can comprehend Him at least to some extent! If you have any more doubts kindly address it to my gurji Pandit. R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI. For your information, he is a Shiva Bhakta and not an upasaka of Lord Karthaveeryarjuna. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing! Kindly acquaint yourself with more knowledge on our ancient mythologies. But do not restrict yourself with the stories, go beyond the symbols and comprehend the truth. In the story of Karthaveeryarjuna, you must understand the greatness of will power! You see a child born without limbs became powerful enough to vanquish the might Ravana ! But, pride has a fall... his recklessness and pride led to his downfall. When pride enters the mind even tapasya does not help you! I have nothing personal against you. But, I feel it is better you get yourself more enlightened under suitable Gurus who can comprehend the hidden messages of our mythologies better! Off the cuff remarks do no one any good. I dont claim to be an expert in this... But, definitely I am in the right course due to the Blessings of my Guru. My Guruji used to say that such arguments do more harm than good. Argument on these matters should be preferably within us, and not with others! I beg your pardon if I have offended anywhere in my post. Best wishes.Chandra Sekhar <chandra_sekhar1970 > wrote: Namaste, Mohan Ramji, If someone is doing Upasana of Karthaveeryarjuna, don't you think that Bhargav Parasurama may take note of it and destroy him? Should we worship a defeated and destroyed Raja or Deva in place of the Victor? Bhargava Rama is far more worthy of worship being born in Nagakulam and being eternal Tapasvi and Chiranjeevi. Always worship of immortals is better than mortals like K. Arjuna. There were so many kings in India - great like Ajatasatru, Asoka, Chandragupta Vikramaditya who were victorious ever. Even among defeated kings it is easy to realize that Mahabali was the greatest, then comes Ravana whom even Bhargava could not deal with and Sri Rama had to come. So what is the logic of worshipping a Hehaya Karttikeya whose death might have been mourned by only a few local orphaned Kshatriyas? Guest guest
and he is no more. About other Gurus too daily reports are coming in TV channels and Newspapers. There are many who speak out jargon to hypnotize the gullible. If Parasurama kills Kshatriyas, it is by pretense to establish Dharma not by revenge? Why Vishnu destroyed the chastity of Vrnda? Your Guru will explain that also as for protecting Dharma? When Ravana stole Sita it was sin and Adharma but when Bhishma abducted Amba it was Dharma? Even the Parasurama could not teach Bhishma that it was Adharma. Am I wrong? Your Guru will have your own interpretations. If I play some fraud and make money and create a site and become selfstyled Guru, I am a GURU. Who is there to dispute? And create 100 sycophants who will give applause and spread stories... No Guru is required. All are born alone and shall die alone. It is the above kind of ludicrous stories and the social mind imparted, the source of all doom. If Vishnu comes again he will be coming to destroy all Gurus and make the world beautiful. No need of repeating stereotype logics - read more, approach the Guru and all that to learn some nonsense and get confused. Every kid is born pure and it is the acting Gurus in various forms who destroy its purity and make children sinners. So the world will have real enlightenment only when the Gurus and their chelas jump into the sea. That's all Chandrasekhar mohan ram <mohanraaam (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Bhargav Parasurama will not destroy any worshipper of Karthaveeryarjuna. Do you know a truth? Bhargarv Parasurama Himself could not vanquish Karthaveeryarjuna easily... Though Shri Parasurama defeated karthaveeryarjuna many times, ultimately killing him was difficult even for such a great warrior and tapasvi and avatar of Shri Vishnu himself. Karthaveeryarjuna was nothing but a reincarnation of Sri Sudarshana chakra itself. Sudarshana chakra felt proud and harboured an illfeeling on Shri Vishnu, i.e., it felt that it is doing all the work of vanquishing demons but vishnu was getting all the credit. our Blessed Lord decided that the sacred disc should be taught a lesson in humility. So, he made the disc to be born as a child who could not move his limbs (karthaveeryarjuna was born without limbs and so was discarded by his parents who thought it was an ill omen for the kingdom). By intense tapasya on Shri Dattatreya, he got not just 2 arms but 1000 arms!
