Guest guest
As I understand it, according to Parashara Vimshottari dasa can only be used if the native's Moon is in the bright half and the lagna's hora is in that of the Moon; or, the Moon is in the dark half with the lagna's hora in that of the Sun. It would be the Shodasottari dasa that takes up the other charts that would not be covered by Parashara's conditions above. I personally would not fall under that but Vimshottari has worked for me rather well. Has anyone ever taken note of this, and have you found Shodasottari to be better for the appropriate charts? Guest guest
||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Dear Curtis and List Members, Namaskaar. Vimshottari is applicable universally. Please refer to the below: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BPHS Chapter 48 English Translation [sanskrit recommended] Maharishi Parashar replied. O Brahmin! Dashas are of many kinds. Amongst them Vimshottari is the most appropriate for the general populace. But the other Dashas, followed in special cases, are Astottari, Shodshottari, Dwadashottari, Panchottari, Shatabdik, Chaturashiti-sama, Dwisaptati-sama, Shastihayani, Shat-trimshat-sama. Our ancients have described these different kinds of Dashas, based on Nakshatras. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< vedic astrology, Curtis Burns <cblists@s...> wrote: > > As I understand it, according to Parashara Vimshottari dasa can only > be used if the native's Moon is in the bright half and the lagna's > hora is in that of the Moon; or, the Moon is in the dark half with > the lagna's hora in that of the Sun. > > It would be the Shodasottari dasa that takes up the other charts that > would not be covered by Parashara's conditions above. > > I personally would not fall under that but Vimshottari has worked for > me rather well. > > Has anyone ever taken note of this, and have you found Shodasottari > to be better for the appropriate charts? > > Curtis Burns > www.StarWorldNews.com >
