Dear Shri. Visti,

 

You have been taught right. But, kindly note that the

placement of lagna lord in 9th ALONG WITH RAHU only

damages the longevity of father.... not otherwise.

 

It is equally true that the native becomes a devotee

of Lord Vishnu if lagna lord is in the 9th house.

 

One thing I would like to mention to all these forum

members,... though a bit of debate is good for

developing analytical skills, it is better not to

assume anything for granted without testing it in

practice.

 

There is a sanskrit saying, " Accept the truth even

if it comes from the mouth of a parrot or a child! Do

not accept a thing which is false EVEN if it is

uttered by Lord Brihaspati". The proof of the pudding

is in the eating. Never try to pit the views of

different Maharishis against one another. Infact

every seer has written a classic ONLY to show us a

path. There are so many paths to reach the truth. It

is an accepted fact that Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra

is a magnum opus, but kindly note that knowledge

exists in many forms. Researching nadi works like

Suka nadi, Sapta Rishi Nadi, Chandra Kala Nadi, etc.

will show you new vistas which are untouched or only

hinted at in Parashara Hora. This subject is an

sea-shore and we are all mere children collecting

sea-shells on the shore. I do not think it is

possible for one child to collect all the sea-shells.

Instead of arguing whose shells are the best, we will

do best to gather them together and appraise them so

that everyone can see the beauty of every shell!

 

It is not possible to judge the results of a horoscope

by mere placement of planets in different bhavas. The

avasthas of the planet (there are so many kinds of

classification of avasthas), the strength of the

planets due to their placement in various rasis and

also with respect to the lagna, the aspect between

planets, graha yuddha, besides argala have to be

studied before coming to a decent idea on the

planetary factors in the horoscope. There is no point

in nitpicking the views of others to find errors

because doing so will result in jammed up ideas! Let

Air enter Our houses from all sides!
