Sam Alito is the US Supreme court nominee currently in news.

April 1, 1950

Trenton, NJ

Libra lagna, Pisces Navamsa

 

He is running Sat-Mer-Ven

Saturn is well placed in 11th house and is also a yogakaraka.

Mercury is debilitated 9th lord in 6th house. His tenth lord is ill

placed in 12th house. Lot of raja yogas in the 6/12 axis. His

chances for getting confirmed are high.

 

I am predicting that he will get confirmed between Jan 22 and Feb

14, 2006. Saturn is the Jaimini Amatya karaka. Affliction to his

tenth lord in transit and the dasa suggests a break. Looking at his

dasamsa, I beleive he will get cofirmed by the US Senate in the

coming weeks.

The only question is whether Democrats will filibuster the nominee, usually

considered a very dangerous political move. The nominee by a republican

president in a republican controlled congress would get confirmed if it comes

to vote.

 

It seems from the chart that all the tenth house matters are activated. The

dahsa of shani-budh-rahu.

 

Shani is yogakaraka, budh is ninth and twleth lord. Budh is debilited and

heavily afflicted ; but that would make it weak not malefic. Budh is also tenth

lord from chandra. So both dasha and anter dasha are of benefic grahas, from

lagna as well as moon.

 

In transit shani is in the tenth house aspecting the tenth lord. Guru is

aspecting the tenth house from moon.

 

Rahu, the pratyantar dasha lord is in the sixth house, A malefic in sixth can

make him overcome the resistace from his political enmies.

 

So, I agree with your prediction. This may be a good case study for bhava kundali.

 

P.S. If you use just rashi chakra, guru and shukra are together, aspected by shani.

 

That is sixth lord with eigth lord aspected bu a natural malefic and 4th lord of

vehicles. If one uses bhava chakra shukra moves to the 4th house. Now if you

know about his history for mishaps we can draw some conclusions.

Prediction has come true in the time period I gave (Jan 22 to Feb

14). Please note that Judge Sam Alito is confirmed by Senate today

with 58-42 vote in his favor. The correct time of birth is 857Pm for

those who are interested. Bush will get another opportunity in 2007.
