Guest guest
Dear List Members, I would like to learn to judge longevity in the horoscope. I am familiar with the basic concepts of 1) method of 3 pairs, 2) eighth lord placement, and 3) method of 3 lords. However, I am not familar with how to apply a)kakshya hrasa/vriddhi, b)rashi hrasa/vriddhi or c) yoga vipareetam. I have Sanjay Rath's Crux of Vedic Astrology, but the methods I am concerned with are not explained therein. Can anyone guide me through learning these proceedures? with gratitude, Raja
Guest guest
Difficult indeed. See 8th lord, the Moon an lagna lord too. About method of three pairs: I did a vast study about it, though I don't remember it exactly now. See the method of Shri K.N.Rao - 1) Consider from Lagna lord and 8th lord. 2) Consider from Lagna and Moon lagna. 3) Consider from Lagna and Hora lagna. Then apply PAM (read his books). Here I found some failures, yet I should say the method works to some extent. Only thing I strongly feel is that we should rectify the longevity span. Like modal longevity in India, say 65 years, may be taken as Poornayu. Then we can revise the three life spans given. Hence Madhyayu may not be 32-64, rather it may be, say, 22-45 years. This way we can modify it with time and space. In my personal experience, judgement of 8th lord, Karaka Saturn, the Moon etc gives a better clue to the vexed question. Guest guest
Dear Kumarji, I have checked on this method and it is not exactly correct. Please try this on the following birth details, an uncle of my still living healthily, the only problem is his eye sight and diabetese too. 19th November 1912 @ 11.00 PM in Galagedare, Sri Lanka. This method under all 3 categories show medium life span, [i hope I am correct in my analysis], though he is now 93 + years old. Guest guest
Om Krishna Guru Namaste Raja Ji, Very good question. As you are already familiar with the process of determining the Longevity. I will not repeat the process here, but would like to give you some pointers to do some more detailed study. Please look at some of my old messages, where I have used some priciples taught by Sanjay Ji and Brendan Ji using the Shoola Dasa. I have considered the compressed Shoola Dasa to determine the longevity of the Administration on the following case about 2 years ago. vedic astrology/message/41196 vedic astrology/message/41394 Now coming to your precise question on how to determine the Kakshya Hrasa / Vriddhi. Lack of time, I am not in a position to write the entire process to determine the longevity for you here. But, I would suggest you to refer to the following sources:- 1) Read the 8th lord defintion in Sanjay Ji's book of "Vedic Remedies in Astrology". It is very important to determine this way than the normal 8th lord. 2) Also I would suggest you to listen to the lectures by Sanjay Ji and Brendan Ji on Longevity and Shoola Dasa, where Kakshya Hrasa / Vriddhi was explained with few examples. 3) If you have some more time and patinece, I would also suggest you to search in this list archives. About 2 years ago, this topic wasw discussed in detailed by me along with few Gurus and learned members. If you live in USA, please contact Lakshmi Kari Ji to get the above two. I belive detemining the Longevity is one of the hardest ones, but I have had success in some past cases, so if you are destined to get this knowledge you will get it. Hope this note may be of some help to you. Regards Raghunatha Rao vedic astrology, "Raja Perry" <tvdasan wrote: Dear List Members, I would like to learn to judge longevity in the horoscope. Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Learned Members, I am afraid to make a very small remark on the Judgement or Determination of Longevity. In BPHS, Shree Parasara said that Even gods cannot calculate the age or ayu... So its totally abstract to calculate ones longevity because planets work in their own & their role in every horoscope or behaviour haven't been unveiled yet. I hope that Learned Scholars of Astrology wont mind this interference. Guest guest
dear friend gaurav the same book narrates how to measure the life span. anyway astrology is an indicative science and these exercises are meant to make this science more accurate. for an ordinary layman such hindsight analysis looks easy as you can find 101 ways to attribute something happened. but for a researcher they give clues to come to cohesive conclusions after repeated post mortems confirm certain common patterns. research threads may be kept untouched by debate threads as in these research threads no one is trying to put forth his view or opinion but only interested in complimenting or supplementing the indicative predictiveness with added contributions. hope you can do some value addition with your contributions. with best wishes arjun vedic astrology, "" <gg_0202 wrote: > > ||Jai Ramakrishna|| > Dear Learned Members, > I am afraid to make a very small remark on the Judgement or > Determination of Longevity.
