Dear Sriman,

Namaste. Yes wear anukul graha ratna / donate pratikul graha ratna.

THE PROBLEM: There are still many Jyotishis, specially the old ones, who believe

and

preach and practice Pratikulvad, i.e., the gem REVERSE the planets, thus a bad

Shani is

made good by wearing his gem. This is nonsense and harmful. Such people should

be

stopped.

We are fighting to stop this ill-practice of Pratikulvad, and for this purpose

we have

founded the PGA (Graha anukul ratna visheshajna parishad) Planetary Gemologists

Association in 1997 - http://www.p-g-a.org

Namaste Richard ji,

You point is very valid, and i think the confusion ( if i may), is that if

you pick up any panchanga in India, they will say that wearing gems does "graha

shanti".....this shanti word has been mis-understood and used thereof to a

school that thinks the to pacify sani if it is adverse, wear its

gem...ofcourse, there is absolutely no ambiguity on this and the shastra are

very very

clear..
