Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Mr. Richard, With the limited knowledge I have, i cannot recollect any hindu scriptures praising the worship of Kailasha Shila, as done in case of Salagram Sila,Dvaraka Sila or Narmadeshwar Shila worship. Likewise i dint find any direct reference of worshipping Govardhan Shila in any scriptures. However, Hari Bhakti Vilasa,a reference book or Encyclopedia of the Vaishnavas, Govardhan Shila puja has been praised.Probably, the Message od Upanishad as "Sarvam Khalvidang Brahma" has been implied in this case. With proper respect, love & devotion one may worship Kailasha Shila with Shiva Mantra . Guest guest
dear brother richard om namo bhagawate rudraya firstly my best wishes for a holy mahashivaratri day. the entire mount kailash is treated as the most holiest shivling and no pilgrim removes or picks a stone from this sacred kailash parvat. if some people have picked up for gifting or for selling, i do not support it. also several yakshas stay in that area and one is advised not to pick any stone from the holiest kailash parvat. however, from the manasarovar lake, all pilgrims collect small stones which are not only gifted but are sold. several pilgrims were fortuante to found small stones resembling om letter in sanskrit. such naturally carved om shilas are collected by the pilgrims and are worshipped. these om shilas are priceless. this also reminds me of sharing another experience of mine. while performing the amarnath pilgrimage in the kashmir valley, we come across the seshnag lake. in my thirteen years of amarnath pilgrimage, i had the darshan of the real seshnag (lord shiva's snake) only three times. few people who venture to go inside the lake and collect small stones from the lake narrated that while worshipping these stones, they observed the size of the stones growing on their own. even though puranas or classics do not support the signifcance of the stones from either manasarovar lake or from the seshnag lake, ardent shiva devotees like me worship them with reverence. with best wishes arjun vedic astrology, Richard Shaw Brown <rsbj66 wrote: > > In Hindu tradition we have seen there are sacred stones, such as Sri > Shalagram Shila, Sri Govardhan Shila, Dwarka Shila, etc., and these are > worshipped as shakshat Bhagavan. > > Even though Mount Kailasa is the greatest Shiva lingam in the world I > have not seen devotees of Maha Deva worshipping the Sri Kailash Shila. > Devotees who do parikrama usually bring back stones from Kailash and > give them as holy gifts. > > Does anyone know about Sri Kailash Shila puja? > > Best rgds > > > > Richard Shaw-Brown, PG > Designer & Gemologist > http://www.richardshawbrown.com > http://www.agt-gems.com > http://www.astralgemstonetalismans.com > http://www.themisunderstood.com > http://www.hrisikesh.com > http://www.hrisikesh.net > http://www.p-g-a.org > http://www.satyavrat-shastri.net > http://www.generalprem.com > http://www.navaratna-museum.info > http://www.sacred-objects.info > > Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger. >
