Dear Arathiji:

Sudarshana yantram is very powerful in overcoming the ill-effects

arising due to machinations of one's enemies. If ever you have fear

from supernatural beings, or suspect that black-magic might have been

employed against you, worship of Sudarshana Yantram will prove very

auspicious to you. Moreover, worship of Sudarshana Yantram in

factories or places where equipment are maintained will ensure that

they function smoothly. If there is an inauspicious death (like

suicides, unexpected fatal accidents, murders, etc.), Sudarshana Homam

is usually performed to remove the negative vibrations arising from

that untoward incident.

Generally, worship of Shri Sudarshana - the Divine Disc of Lord Mahaa

Vishnu is very auspicious and can bestow the worshipper with courage,

progress, and happiness.

Sudarshana mantra, like any other mantra should be obtained through

proper Guru Diksha. However, for the benefit of the common man who

cannot obtain diksha and lead the rigorous life of an upasaaka, there

are wonderful sthothraas written by Swaami Desikan on Shri Sudarshana,

which when recited give many auspicious results. There is also a

wonderful sthothra on Shri Sudarshana written by the King Ambareeshan-

a devotee of Lord MahaaVishnu when he requested the Divine Disc to

spare the sage Dhurvaasa who tried to harm the King due to his

unjustified anger on the king. Sudarshana protected the king from the

globlins that arose out of the anger of Sage Dhurvaasa, annihilated

them, and also started chasing the sage who could not get refuge

anywhere. Finally when he approached Lord Mahaa Vishnu Himself for

help, Shri Vishnu said that repentance for an act aimed against His

devotees can be had only from His devotees. The sage ultimately

apologized to the King who sang the sthothra in praise of Shri

Sudarshanaa. These can be recited by everyone.

Lord Yoga Narasimha Himself is believed to be the Power behind the

Sudarshana (You can see the form of Lord Yoga Narasimha in the reverse

side of Sudarshana chakram in Sudarshana sannidhis of temples). It is

auspicious to worship Shri Sudarshana on Thursdays. Shri Sudarshana

can be worshipped by everyone without restriction as to the horoscopic

factors for relief from all the ailments and troubles of this human

life. Shri Sudharshanaa will be most happy to come to the rescue of

His Devotees.

Blessed be.
